Introduction Thread?

Post by Dwight L. MacPherson »

Hmm... I didn't see an introduction thread after a relatively thorough look see.
My name is Dwight and I am a word monkey.
I have two webcomics currently in web syndication.
I'm here to meet some cool people and hang out--and I enjoy long walks on the sunken streets of R'lyeh. :D

Welcome Dwight the word monkey. A few questions.

1: How does one walk along the sunken street of R'lyeh without, oh I dunno drowning? And yes, I know if your taking a walk on the sunken streets of R'lyeh drowning should be the least of your worries.

2: What's it like being a supermodel? I think the Dwight is there to throw us off the scent that you are actually Elle Macpherson in disguise as a word monkey dude.

3: Box. In. Now.

Hey, man!

1. I am actually Cthulhu's cousin, so no worries there.

2. HA! No relation, though I wish I could tell you that she was my beautiful wife.

3. Nah. Any and all conversation is welcome, m'man. :)

No see, the box is like an initiation into the CG forums. All new ppl who make threads like this usually are asked to GET IN THE BOX!

...or so I've heard.

Oh, and welcome to the forums! I hope you enjoy your stay!

Welcome!

The forumites are usually fairly friendly. Don't let our avatars fool you - you joined while we're doing a Halloween Avatar thing.

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.

Outstanding--and thank you for the welcome!
Well, I'm a published horror writer, so your creepy avatars make me feel right at home.

I, on the other hand, am usually less cute and whiney.

Well, less cute, anyway.

And I'm too lazy to change my avatar.

*collects mold*

Uh, yeah, hi, welcome, watch out for perverts and don't eat green bananas (they aren't ripe).

I as well am lazy when it comes to avatar changing, but I disagree with LC. Eat the green bananas, they are tasty like that.

Oh and welcome, go read some of our comics and become a part of the community.

Ok,

1. The perverts here are lovely, friendly people, and
2. If you try to avoid us, you'll be alienating at least 2/3 of the forum.

Hi, Dwight, welcome.

Your name sounds familiar. I don't read horror and have never seen your comics before (very nice, btw), so I'll have to let my subconscious percolate for a while before I can tell where I've seen you before...

Hear, hear!

Welcome to the forums. This is just customary hazing in the form of Boxing and inside jokes. After you get through that, this is a fun community, so stick with us.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Hello, Dwight, make yourself at home, only don't put your feet on the table and don't feed Noise Monkey after midnight.

Welcome Dwight! :D Though I normally reserve selling these beauts to the cornstalker newcomers, being a horror person yourself, I'm sure you'd be able to appreciate riding through town on a bus-sized giant spider.

Don't try to resist the siren call of a gnome pandering his wares, my friend... you'll only end up with THREE of the beasties and extended warranties on all. :D Welcome to CG!
