My art, also.

It really sucks, because there are a few scenes that I've just had to cut because it cannot be done with sprites. Not many, but a few. And hand-drawing, well... hahahah. At least I'm good with pixels.

The multiyear hiatuses are a pain. They really kill the flow.

And also writing scripts that work and that are easy to visualize. And layout is my newest worry. I'm always fretting over wether it's boring or not.
That's more than one. Image
I know, but I couldn't say I I hate it all, because I don't. And I'd like to note that I like to complain about comicking. My crappy art and fluctuating writing
would have actually summed it up quite nicely.

I use Flash to clean up my characters and it's a pain in the ass. Especially for the strips of mine that have tons of stuff in it.

Lettering. I get an idea in my head but once I start applying it to words I usually have to rewrite the dialouge numerous times before it stops sounding akward. And I hate making word bubbles. Spending time drawing and coloring a section of a picture only to cover it up later annoys me.

I'd say it's sequencing. In my head it's all animated. So picking out what particular moment I should express in a panel is hard. Usually when the story gets slow because I'm doing lots of big art panels, it's because there's too much happening and I have to show every bit of it.

Though there are a few cases where one particular moment jumps out and screams "I'M A PANEL!" then it gets an even more huge panel all to its self.

Besides covering up the background I spent so much time coloring with text and word bubbles? One of the more irritating things I've experienced is trying to maintain consistency from one page to the next.

Applying color in general is obscenely time-consuming as it is, but what frustrates me is that the colors will start to shift a bit from one page to the next, even though I'm using the same base colors :P

Action sequences are also very annoying to figure out, but I suspect that's lack of experience being more the problem there. :shifty:

I'd also say the slow pace for updates, but I'm finally starting to get use to that.

Backgrounds. Never good at it. I also digitally edit and replace inking on certain stuff.

I usually draw on large comic strip illustration boards so they don't fit my scanner. The annoying part is going to Kinko's to shrink them so I can scan. I don't mind coloring on the computer. I actually like it. But, I don't color my daily strips because I agree with everyone else it is time consuming. And I want that Newspaper look to my comics. I also don't like having to get the wording right to set the gag up. Because I think of something funny, then you have to pace it and word it right so other people get it. I'm still working on that.

Applying ziptone. It's a pain to lay down and clean-up, especially across multiple layers of linework.

Drawing non-humanoids.

Back when this was a handdrawn comic, I tended to leave backgrounds white, except for maybe a few relevant props. Since I've made the art-style, it's mostly been basic geometric shapes, which is an improvement but still drab compared to the characters. Certain props I can handle in this style, although a rapier gave me a bit of trouble, but animals make me want to die.

What do I hate most about my comic?
That I'm not doing it for a living.
