Considering I've been away from my kitty...

I had to spend an hour trying to find them.

The cat pictures were taken in 2003, the puppies in 2005 (had to add them)

I also have... pictures of ferrets, squirrels, rats and geese.

And... looks like it ate the comment on all of them.

In order:
Puppies (taken in alaska)
Nala
Simba
Both
Nala
Simba

Simba is the male and Nala is the female.

House cats scare me.
Seriously.

However, Dogs are always cool. Even, like, Pitbulls viciously charging at me, their rampage hindered only by the fence between us.

This will probably be perplxing to people, but still

All Dogs go to Heaven, and...
An experimental film I made with cats as the subject.
Someday, someday I'll finish Confabulation. That day is not today, however.

Technically, these are Michelle's brother's cats... but since she has moved back in with him, she has stolen their love for herself. :shucks: :shucks:

To link this thread with my general view of cats (living in the bush where they single handedly decimate the local parrot population...although they're free to eat the plovers...) and the mess I saw spread across the road out the front of the school this morning...I present to you the Australian song 'Nobody's Moggy'.

Somebody's moggy by the side of the road...
Somebody's pussy who forgot their highway code...
Someone's favourite feline who ran clear out of luck
When he ran on to the road and tried to argue with a truck!

Yesterday he purred and played in his pussy paradise,
Decapitating tweety birds and masticating mice.
Now he's just six pounds of raw mince meat that don't smell very nice,
He's nobody's moggy now.

All you who like your pussies, be sure to keep them in.
Don't let him argue with a truck, the truck is sure to win.
And upon the busy road don't let him play or frolic.
If you do, I'm warning you, it could be catastrophic.

If he tried to play on the roadway I'm afraid that will be that.
There will be one last despairing meow! and a sort of squelchy splat!
And your pussy will be slightly dead and very, very flat,
He's nobody's moggy, just red and flat and soggy!
He's nobody's moggy now...

Thank you.
Remember when your imagination was real? When the day seemed
longer than it was, and tomorrow was always another game away?

On the subject of cat poems...

Thank you for laying the carpet, Dad
Thank you for showing us how.
But what is that lump in the middle, Dad?
And why is it saying "meow"?

- Joel Fagin*

* Which is not to say I mean to imply I wrote that, coz I didnt.

Felis catus is your taxonomic nomenclature,
An endothermic quadruped, carnivorous by nature?
Your visual, olfactory, and auditory senses,
contribute to your hunting skills and natural defenses.

I find myself intrigued by your sub-vocal oscillations,
a singular development of cat communications,
that obviates your basic hedonistic predilection,
for a rhythmic stroking of your fur to demonstrate affection.

A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents,
you would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance.
And when not being utilized to aid in locomotion,
It often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.

O Spot, the complex levels of behavior you display,
connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array.
And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,
I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.
Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.

I generally dislike animals. I'd rather have a rabbit, because they're not needy and the only sound they make is when they die.

Yes and no. That character was why I knew the word but I was always looking for names that in some way described the two cats. Inazuma means "lightning" and, apart from having a flash of white on her nose, 'Zuma is hyperactively fast and will zig zag back and forth at high speed while dribbling ping pong balls or chasing string.

Kaminari means "thunder" and she has more white which is suggestive of clouds and also thunders up and down the house in the way cats do.

My friend has a bunny that she lets wander around. He uses the litter box and knows not to come into the living room. And he listens when you ask him to do stuff.

I hear they scream when you try to kill them.
