Neko and I just stared, and i started to look for my lighter.
Unless they were in a snuggle pile, you're wimps. Snuggle piles scare me, but individual furries are cool. :)
it wasn't as bad as that fat woman i saw in spandex at anime expo, now that i think about it.
don't think about it, though your avatar goes great with that statement.

At a renfair i once saw a very large woman in a chainmail shirt, and nothing else on top.

I am sort of shy with strangers so I can feel quite uncomfortable at times, at conventions. Especially when someone tells me how they like my comic and all they get in reply is a "ah...uh... thanks...". I saw people at the uk comic con who were chirpy and chatty and smiling all the time and could small talk table visitors like they were born doing it, but I don't have that talent. I don't hide my head in a paperbag either, but talking to strangers and feeling comfortable about it isn't exactly my kind of thing. That may be why I chose to live in the UK where people are reserved, mind their business and are never in your face, who knows :)
I hope that if I keep going to conventions it will become less scary.

eh, I had no scary moments, unless we count the +6 hours of sleepy driving me and my mate did going to Otakon 2005 from a few hours north of NYC.

Sometimes we joke between ourselves: "You know, we probably died during that trip and just haven't realised it yet. Neither of us were awake and we were driving at +75 mph."

Convention itself was tame and american (bad costumes).

Bwa ha ha. If I ever have the good fortune to meet Bekka at a con I will so totally squeal, scream, jump up and down and hug her.

One of these days I'm going to do the convention thing. Like one of these days I settle down and do the comic thing again. Ugh.

The closest thing to a convention that I've been to was the cookout...so no, no scary moments for me. :)
