Re: Toronto? PHA! Hamilton, yesssss . . .
VileTerror wrote:I believe I will be able to attend and make you all feel exceptionally uncomfortable. It’s the least I could do for a community which has had such a profound effect on my life.
Though there is a potential problem . . . I’d need an adjutant or two. I intend to have better stamina this year, having more time to adequately prepare physically, but Spaz and Penance . . . well, I suppose I should invite them to do the job again, but I got the feeling they didn’t quite enjoy last year’s T.C.A.F.
Then again, given recent confessions and admissions I’ve been able to make, and the coming to terms with what I am, I might just skip an adjunct in favour of explaining things. Of course, I’d need to be reassured that I’d have some receptive ears. Given my past with this community, I can foresee this not going as smoothly as it has with newer acquaintances.
By the way, Tynan and K-Dawg . . . if either of you have mentioned the weakness which the proxy displayed last year, your discomfort won’t be so much from me looming over you as a menacing dark mass, but more so from some crude implement wielded by me with the intent to eviscerate.
OH! And somebody get Ghastly in here, damnit! What’s a Canadian Keenspace Get-Together without the most prominent of Keenspacers?
. . . one more thing. Who’s Robin?
YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
I never did get to meet you last year. And no worries, Ghastly's always at the Expo as far as I know. We can pounce him at his table. And if no table, well... he isn't exactly difficult to notice in a crowd.
As for Robin, she's my adopted daughter from across the sea who may or may not be coming to Canadaland in time for the Expo.
And to passes: I'm definitely after a Deluxe pass. I'm wondering if I dare try to stalk Alice Cooper, or if his exceedingly large fanbase will crush me.

Creepiness factor times 13!
Ok, I’ve got an idea on how to creep wee-little Tynan out of his skin. So that just leaves the rest of ya.
Please, tell me all your weaknesses, and I’ll do my best to exploit them. Remember! One fifth of this convention is the Toronto Horror-Con. Live up to the spirit of the event, and get the shit scared out of yourself! It also gives me an excuse to be creative. You folks should see my house on Hallowe’en!
Speaking of which, I’m getting the full 3 day, all events pass. The Horror-Con is just calling out to me, but there are three other sub-conventions I am interested in. Comics, obviously. Science fiction, as I am an avid fan of the Space station (which right-properly kicks the intangible ass of the Sci-Fi channel). And the gaming convention, because I just completed my tenure at the International Academy of Design and Technology for Video Game Design and Development and need to network some more (DAMNED hard industry to break into right now).
I’ll definitely be going to http://www.hobbystar.com/ComicConToront ... tureID=140
Anyone wanna come with?
I’m also thinking of beefing up The Look.

Maybe . . . damn. Hmm, adding peripherals just detracts from the overall appearance. Maybe I’ll have to wait until I have some serious income before I can start getting really funky.
At the very least, I’ve got to do something about that rubber hood one way or another. SAY! Anyone have some extra cash they’d be willing to “invest” into getting me a custom made black hood? Should only cost a few hundred. Thousand tops.

"Anyway, don't forget to make a suggestion about how much less expensive it is to get a hotel in Hamilton or somesuch and then commute to Toronto. I have a car that can seat 5 (+1 for driver, me). Though my house isn't available for anyone to stay at, I could drive people to and from Toronto and Hamilton. Or, if it ends up we get too many people staying in Hamilton, I could purchase an assload of GO Transit tickets with my student card and give everybody a free ride via GO (pun intended)."
This is quoted from VT.

Answering Vorticus's question.
Though I believe you and I did interact a little quite a while back, Vorticus, as you are very much familiar to me, and as foreboding as Tynan’s ‘warning’ is, I’ll give you a little stuff that should help answer your question.
There are two quotes, one from Mr.Bob and one from grabmygoblin, that do well to answer ‘who is VileTerror’.
“Avatar trends come and go, but VileTerror is here to stay forever”
“VileTerror is omnipresent. even when s/he is not posting s/he is there.”
And then there was the time that someone likened me to a cockroach, but the exact quote eludes me, sorry. All that combined will give you the basics of who I am in relation to Keenspace.
Or if you want someone to paint a really unflattering, but fairly accurate diagram of me, just ask mcDuffies, yarpsdat, or any of the Admins.
And I’ve done a little research, and I think I’ve got the basics on who “Robin” is. A certain “pierce studios”, yes?

Oh, stupid me. Sorry, I barely glance at forum names anymore, I forgot "robin" wasn't in her name and apparently didn't realize what you were asking >_>VileTerror wrote:And I’ve done a little research, and I think I’ve got the basics on who “Robin” is. A certain “pierce studios”, yes?

Edit: and it's a mixture of Mouse, Hampster and Gerbil. they were the cheapest thing at the pet store

Cheapskate.
Pierogi are rather international, though I suppose I could try my hand at making them. That is, of course, if you trust me to prepare food for any of you.
Poutine varies depending on where you get it. For instance, Harvey's poutine, I SWEAR, has a hint of caramel or maple syrup in the gravy. It's so slight, I just can't figure it out, but it’s a nice touch. Some poutine is damn right nasty. Some poutine is good. And to be honest, I've never had a perfect poutine.
Heh, the wonderful irony of your post, C.J., is you spelt poutine correctly, but misspelt pierogi. Go figure.
(quick backpedal: I spelt it wrong originally too. Apparently the addition of "es" at the end is improper - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierogi )
And I could bring some more cookies to the event too. Perhaps even with puppy, since I know how much you love dogs, C.J.
Oh, and about "Timmy's". There's actually a donut shop in Cayuga named Timmy's, so I like to call Tim Horton's "Horty's" when I shorthand it.

I live in the middle of nowhere, which is why I think I've only been exposed to this food while in Canada. And just to be on the safe side... I think I'll stick to eating out. Sorry VT

Chip trucks, you say?
It's understandable, C.J. You don't want to risk your life, and I've done a fairly good job of making sure people can never be certain of how serious my "promises" are.
Speaking of which, Pimpette, there are always at least 4 or 5 chip trucks lined up along the street which the convention location is located.
. . . um, yeah.
I know this because I went to school in the building across the street. The CBC building! Ya, that's right!
Oh, and HORTY'S!

Out of curiosity, just where do Dawg, Tynan and Pimpette live? Just trying to get an idea of the distances involved.
Because that "get a hotel room outside of Toronto" sounds like a good idea. And I could be another transporter, should I decide to drive.
