going to the prom and actually being able to dance sucks when people won't give you the room to.

I was the prom queen in high school. Still a geek, mind, against a bunch of popular kids (mostly athletic). I was able to get the entire yearbook staff (which I was a part of) to vote for me and spread the word. ^_^
Here we stand, here we fall; history don't care at all. Make the bed, light the light; Lady Mercy won't be home tonight.

Let me guess, you also let down your hair and took off your glasses?

Actually, no. I stayed incredibly nervous all evening and even danced (if you could call it that) to a Beatles song a friend snuck into the playlist and sung to it - lots of stares there. Things kind-of ended on a sour note, too. I found out later that my date only went with me because he knew I was getting crowned. Oh well . . .

Didn't go to my jumior or senior prom. Turned out that I had performances on both those nights. Kinda sucks, because I'd always looked forward to prom...then again, I hated all the other school dances, so I probably wouldn'tve like them either...and Jim would've been miserable all night, too.

Bah. We don't take kindly to prom royalty around here.
hehe, I never went to any school dances at all. My school's dances had a reputation for being snoozers. I can say the dances I go to now probably put them to shame big time.

Anyway, I went, and I was a little...preoccupied...to take pics. Luckily the paid photographer was there, so hopefully I'll have a few good pics to show off eventually.
The second one had hula girls. HULA GIRLS!
And the principal didn't know until they came out. HILARITY. We decided afterwards that he wasn't a robot, because robots don't normally turn that shade of red.
