Cookout webcam???

Cookout webcam???

Hey, Cortland had a great idea in the chat today you guys. Any chance on setting up some sort of webcam during this thing, so some of us forumites that really want to be there but CAN'T for various reasons can participate as well?

Step 1: Set up laptop.
Step 2: Attach webcam.
Step 3: Set up satellite internet uplink from whereever the meet is.
Step 4: Tie up lego and ryan so they don't join forces and rehardwire everything into an engine of destruction and mayhem.
Step 5: Broadcast!

If we had wireless Internet access available during the cookout, it shouldn't be too difficult, if someone could bring along a laptop and a webcam.

The location of the cookout does not have wireless. My home does however, and I'll happily donate the bandwidth.

Do I look like I have that kind of power? Sorry. No go on my laptop, it's strictly used for writing purposes.

Mine can do it and it'll be there. If possible, we may want a better webcam than the one I have, though. Also, I've never setup a webcam to just broadcast. I may need somebody to help with that.

I'll bring a Dlink router I use as a temp access point.

If we need a host for the webcam... well, I am comming...

My webcam's decent and I've got a program on my PC (I'll put it on CD, I'm not dragging my desktop comp down there :S) that sets up a webcam on a site - I've used it a few times.
