Thugs and Broads
Tom:
He glanced back at the man in the hat.
"I don't know about fairies, but it has plenty of spirits. The bar tender plays a mean piano, too. "
He smiled wistfully.
"And the Nymph of the place is the prettiest in the states."
He looked back at the little paper boy.
Say, isn't it past your bedtime, kid?

The Kid
"I sleep when I feels like it, sir," Replied the Kid with a shrug of his shoulders. "T'was told t' come 'ere to find yas--s'posed to work wit' you good fellows t'night. One o' my first jobs for Mr. F. Bu' don' get me wrong; I may be a newsie, but I ain't new to this 'ere line o' work."
He patted his bag of papers fondly. "I 'ear Hawthorne's gettin' antsy these days. Bells an' whistles where'er you go. Wot's the plan, sir?"

I'm bored.
Tom:
Eyeing the kid's bag suspiciously, Tom decided it was best for his own safety to move on.
"The plan is for me to open the door to Hawthorne's basement and the rest of you- though I'm not sure how or why- will loot, pillage and otherwise clean the place of it's wealth. How you're going to get back out is your problem really, because I'll have to lock the door or else someone may come along and notice it's open. So, here we go. "
He stopped outside the alley and beckoned for his current companions to go in first.
"After I get the door, I'll wait for the rest and then it'll be locked. The police traffic at this end of town is high so keep your heads low and get out quickly."

Tom:
He gave a wide smile as he said
"Not my problem!"
Tom reached into his pocket and pulled out his extensive lockpicking kit. His favorites were the steel ones with the wooden hilts- old, but sturdy.
"Watch the master work! "
He strode over to the dank looking cellar door and began his work.
He placed a pick and a tension wrench in the lock and in a matter of moments: Snick!
"It's a thing of beauty when a thief doesn't leave a mark!
Have at. I'll call down when I'm locking up."

"this is great, this is just great."
His eyes shot from left to right and back to the group he watched. He had hoped to find them inside the house. It would've been a more controled environment. Someplace where he could keep his back to a wall and keep his eyes on these peole he had to work with. He looked again.
"Damn it's her."
His eyes had fallen on lola. He scanned the others. Valentine was another face he'd rather not come across and then there was mickey. intimidating fellow that's for sure. Why on earth did he agree to this...oh yeah, that's why. He noticed that all three of them were going with the first group. another dilemma. did he want to keep his eyes on them or did he want to wait until they were out of sight thus creating a save way to...contact this group. He decided on the last option. He reached for hiis six shooter in his sideholster and waited. Every now and then he looked around, taking in his surroundings carefully.

Lola
Lola sniffed at the comment on the 'Nymph'. If she had feathers, they would definitely be ruffled by that comment.
"You gonna make sure we reply before you lock this thing?" She asked smoothly, leaning towards the lock from beside, above and behind Tom. She wouldn't normally have cared; even if the police did turn the place over with them still in it, she could make it look like she had little or nothing to do with it. Besides, there were quite a few nice pieces in this place she had had her eye on for a while. Not that she could wear them for at least a couple months, but still.
She shifted slightly from foot to foot, frowning at the feeling of someone watching her. Shrugging it off, Lola peered around the edge of the door into the darkness. - Uneasy feeling or not, this is going to be fun, she thought with a small malicious smile -

Lola
Against her first instincts, Lola accepted Tom's hand with as good grace as she could muster, inclining her head as thanks, depite time being of the essence.
"I'll be as careful as you." She murmured before turning and gliding into the shop, moving as silently as she could in her heels until she emerged into the main shop. Someone else would raid the safe, and she wasn't particularly interested in money, as what she did seek would look nice as well as be valuable.
Her eye catching on a glinting jewel inside one of the cases, Lola moved over to the other side of the counter, running her fingers under the lid to check for any trip wires before lifting the case lid, hands darting out to fill her inner coat pockets that just happened to be quite a bit larger than they appeared.
Realising she was humming, Lola quickly silenced herself and continued on her task. The smashing of things could come later, and from others. Looting of valuables, valuables that looked good, however, that was a pretty little perk.

"Now how're we gonna sort out the jewels from the glass, you big-" Lola cut herself off, taking a breath and moving over to the smashed case, frowning at the contents. At least they were coloured jewels and pieces of gold. Picking out a watch, Lola weighed it in one hand while sifting other pieces from the glass with the other. Stuffing them all into pockets, she turned to Mickey with her hands on her hips.
"I'm sure you could turn that brute force of yours at the safe and get something of more... use to you that way. Maybe on your way out you can smash some more stuff when we're done." She snapped, distractedly holding a bracelet up to the thin shaft of moonlight before adding that to her haul.
Only two more things that held anything of interest to her anyway.
"I suggest if anyone else wants something shiny they come down and get it themselves!" She called up, cursing several things inside her head while she moved quickly over to a case by a window, glancing out before lifting the lid and snatching a piece, darting to the window and picking out a few more things to even the load between her pockets.
"I hate dogs." She muttered belatedly in reply to Mickey, eyeing the man suspiciously. She really didn't like dogs.

Kiki
Kiki smirked at Mickey and pulled out a tiny slip of paper from one of her coat's pockets. Reading the combination off of the slip, she began working on unlocking the safe, and soon heard the satisfying click. She opened it and began hoarding the contents into her coat's hidden pockets. Now let's see what's left of the "shiny" I can grab...
She walked over to one of the few remaining un-broken cases and carefully lifted it. This one contained a variety of earring and necklace sets. She took the lot, humming to herself as she did, then stopped when Mickey mentioned the smell of a dog. She quickly sealed her pockets and put the cover back on the case.

Lola
Lola scowled at Mickey, buttoning up her coat.
"My stomach does not growl, I..." She turned to face the source of the noise.
"Dog!" Her voice came out slightly too high-pitched and loud for her liking, and she barely registered drawing several blades until they were in her hands and she was staring a large black dog in the eyes. Searching for any of the information she was told earlier, she made and discarded several different plans.
- Old... jaws like a bear trap. Oh... She let the curse trail off in her head -
"You are not getting hold of my leg like a leg of lamb, you mutt." She snarled, not caring at that precise moment how she looked.

"I ain't no cheater. And that ain't no stomach growling either." Kiki looked up, worried that they'd be caught before they could escape. Then she saw it; the dog. It came in and headed straight towards Lola. She laughed to herself when she saw how Lola reacted. "Mickey, this is your fault. Deal with it!"
