Ha ha! Well, all the suck is over for me, now!

I have ALL SUMMER to work on a comic portfolio, do Metrophor, and work on the Mixed Myth book! I get to do comics! For the summer! Eee! AND I get to go to the cookout! AND a bunch of friends are coming down for GenCon, which is in my city! AND it's Free Comic Book Day!

Plus I just saw Pirates of the Carribean and Advent Children back to back! How could I NOT be happy?

*bubbles cheerily*
The only real downside is that my car's in the shop and I fear the bill. But oh well...it's just so nice to be done with Finals.

Zwuh will be in Ireland in 38 days.

I'd like to say that this is probably his happy news too, but given that I intend to spend the first few days of his month over here alternately crying and hitting him with things because I'M A PSYCHOTIC FEMALE, I think he'll probably have to wait at least a further week before he can get some 'happy time'.

Also I got another freelancing job as a book reviewer, which means I'll never run out of erotica for the rest of my natural life.

I just took the my 1st swim in the newly refilled pool, so I'm so cold the endorphins are flooding my body.

Life is good

I just built a shotgun with pump action out of nothing but paper and tape

I'm NOT hungover

Life is GOOD. Can't stress this enough.

Ppl, haha, I can't believe of all ppl I'm saying this, but just think "life is good", and go out and do something. Not shopping or work. Walk into the forest, go to the beach, just find somewhere to sit, stare at something beautiful (I spent like an hour last night staring up at the stars, with the smoke from a bonfire billowing over me) and just think to yourself "Hell, this aint so bad"

I'm happy because:

--I'm looking forward to Exit Fest this summer, with Franz Ferdinand, Cardigans, Cult in the lineup. Also freakin' Billy Idol. I got tickets for a really cheap price, best investment of the year.
--I'm happy because I got some new films here. A lot of Bunuel (El, Tristana, Angel Exterminator)
--I'm happy because I'm working on a new comic and the results look decent.
--I'm happy because I can eat whatever I want and drink booze again.
--I'm happy because I'm nearing the end of the first "season" of LWK.
--Well, to tell the true, I'm happy I have a lots of cool friends. I'm happy because people seem lo like me, as in, I'm a likeable kind of guy. For someone who always had self-esteem troubles like I did, knowing that the first reaction of people to you is liking, is a great relief.

I'm just happy, for a number of perfectly good reasons that are just to mundane to mention.

Seriously, I have no big reason to be happy, I just am. And I'd probably be happy even if I had a reason not to be.

Gilla läget, var positiv!* It's easy to look positive if you're genuinely happy.

But its true isnt it? The things that REALLY make you happy are all the little pleasures life has to give.

Haha, God, its a good thing I'm not 13 anymore. I used to be really emo -_-.

I'm happy because...
- I just got home from fighter practice, where I got to hit people with sticks.
- I can eat anything I want without it making me sick.

And that's yet another reason to be happy. "Lagom" happy, at least. Learning weird sayings from around the world.
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

I woke up this morning with my cat curled up under my chin, purring her little heart out, and just had to go back to sleep

Sunday sleep is the best kind :D

I get to go play with my mother today and am going to make her have fun. :D

It's gonna be a good day.

That sounds cool. I don't know much about any of the artists except Franz Ferdinand and Billy Idol, but both of those are good, so yay!

Sounds a lot like "Don't worry be happy".

So what am I happy about? school's over in like a week, and I got me a summer job, and I'm gonna make money and buy things. I like having things. :D I also found some music this morning that I'd been missing. I'd labelled them with an ellipsis in the beginning of the file name, and in linux (or at the very least Nautilus) a dot as a starting character makes the file hidden. So yeah, now I'm listening to "...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead" jamz.

Well, yes. But it has a more serious intent.

Essentially it is to be remembered and practiced when you're lying on your face in the mud with a twisted ankle several miles from the nearest civilisation merely hours after you lost your job, girlfriend and home, as the sky is unloading several metric tonnes of rain and hail ontop of you and you think you're coming down with a cold.
It is intended to be remembered by soldiers, particularly squad leaders and most importantly officers, so that even in the face of adversity they can still stand up (at least mentally) and carry on with full steam, thereby instilling inspiration to carry on in your comrades and by extension yourself.
It is a reminder that to every problem there can be found some sort of solution, and it is your job to find the best solution imaginable, regardless of how bad the situation has become.

EDIT: The saying is also often shortened, in which case everything after the comma is dropped, since it's just a reminder and enforcement. The first half of it works just as well and is in more frequent usage, in which it is often used as a reprimand or an encouragement when the situation can not be modified to be more favourable in the immediate timeframe, in which case it gains the meaning:
"This is the way the situation is, accept it, move on."
