- Post using the account name you want to use for moderation of that forum.
- Post with the URL of the web comic, and a short description of the forum itself, not the comic!
- If you have others for moderating you want, post their forum usernames too.
The forum admins will create the forum, reply, and lock each thread as they are done. This is for us to track which ones are done or not.
NO UNMODERATED FORUMS!
NOTE: Comics should have at least 20 updates in their archives and have updated within the past month.
When you get a forum, I want to make several things very clear:
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT!!! It's yours, and if we get reports of you abusing it, we'll take it away.
YOU CAN LOCK, REMOVE, AND SPLIT THREADS IN YOUR FORUM. Use those powers sparingly. If you don't like what you hear and want to remove a post, think again -- it may be constructive to help your comic, or it may be some idiot who forgot his Nomex undies again. Try some "social engineering" or "human hackery" first.
KEEP THE FLAMEWARS DOWN. If you have a topic that's gone south on you, and someone's called Godwin (or someone close) then lock it, or split it up.
KEEP THE SPAMMERS OUT! 'Space has a No-Spam policy (with the .signatures being an exception). If your forum is spammed, please lock it, move it to the "Trashbin", and flag it for review. Us admins (Mercury Hat, Kisai, myself, and soon Teri Crosby) can see them and check 'em.
