hey, let the guys do what they want.. if they want a drop down..sheesh let 'em do it
however, if they were to do so, it would probably look something like the current general keenspace dropdown, a ton of strips
i just thought it'd be nice if we girls could band together and help promote each other, the majority of the cartooning world is made up of guys. We as the minority should help each other out..or not?
i'm sorry you don't want in the drop down, but i am interested in what your objections are to it.

Er...sorry.
I've been in a blue funk all week, and sometimes it just comes out wrong.
The problem I have, though, is that if there's a minority of women on the Space, it's not for lack of trying. Keenspace accepts EVERYONE. It means that there just aren't a lot of women applying.
I've no problem with the dropdown itself, as long as it's not an attempt to alienate ourselves from the other half of our species...oh dear. I hope that doesn't get misconstrued...I'm not trying to be nasty, really.
Sorry.
------------------

*blinks and looks around*
All the females in one one, on one handy list! WOOHO!
*grins and shrugs* Not that it really matter since my motto is, "Anything that moves." But still, women do have that special snuggliness that only woman have... that also includes men who indentify as woman and so on.
*grins and opens his arms wide*
Come on ladies, ya know ya wanna!

------------------

I'm not a girl, but i just had to say "HI" to Lang Lang. Hi Lang Lang. Glad to see you became a part of the Keenspace society too. We knew each other way back when... Ok, we just stopped by each others site before Keenspace even became a part of our lives. All right!!!!! I'll leave..... GAWD!!!! I just wanted to say HI!!!!
Oh, and I just wanted to say, I'm all about equal share, but in my opinion, I think a guys dropdown is not really necessary. i think that would only create a separation of the keenspace sexes. I like the idea of a women's dropdown, because it's hard to tell with all the forum nicknames who's a guy, and who's a girl and it's interesting to see the difference in art styles. And I know more people out there are probably more interested in finding out who the gal cartoonists are versus the guy cartoonists. That's just my opinion though.
Paul
------------------

TE>
Well, ya know, they're Canadians! *ducks*
I used to make fun of their money, but then I saw the new designs for American bills that I swear was done by Playschool. *sigh*
Speaking of which, I'm a HUGE fan of this women's dropdown! Chicks do kick ass, and comics are a richer place for having female perspectives in it. Scott McCloud has a lot to say about minority cartooning in his Reinventing Comics that is saliant. As the stereotypical Western White Male I'm dang happy to see minorities in the comics. I'm also glad to see the variety of stuff coming out of Keenspace! Keep kickin butt, female cartoonists!

I like women. Women are a very good thing. That's why I've been kicking myself for years for not being able to draw them. Of course, I'm not all that bad at it now, but jeez, it took bloody long enough!
As for the dropdown, I guess there's nothing wrong with it. I knew it was going to happen, and that some people might get a bit riled up about it, but it's been a lot less violent than I expected. That makes everything all good and wonderful.
Allah Wakim,
