French toast doesn't take very long to make. I can have enough ready for 40 people in about twenty minutes - certainly no more than half an hour - and the plates can be taken out far earlier than that so some folks can go ahead and get started, and I'm sure that not everyone is gonna want french toast, neh?Fading Aura wrote:My only concern with french toast is the time it'll take to make.Jim North wrote:I can help out by makin' french toast. It's about the only thing I can cook, but it's generally agreed to be far better than anyone else's french toast.
Initially:what ingredients you'll need
Vegetable Oil
Bread (white or wheat or both)
Eggs
Milk
Salt
Pepper
Cinnamon
After that, I tend to just grab whatever spices I think look good and throw 'em in there. Nothing weird, mind . . . and if all I've got is the above stuff, that's fine too.
