Man -- judging from the pose, I'd say the mega-walker at the end of the first level.

...what? It's totally a Battletoads pose! Exactly!

Here's a question for people, I've been wondering.

When you draw a person, where do you start drawing?

So far I've either been starting with the eyes or the jaw. Does anyone start somewhere else?

For virtually anything I draw, I start with the head. Always the head.

Expression is my first concern. Pose comes later.

I usually start with the head followed by the shoulder then spine. Although I tend to draw circles and lines in the beginning sooo...

Not sure if NSFW stuff can be hotlinked so here's a sketch I'm working with for school.

Messed up the wolf though. Need to find better references.

I usually start with the head and work my way down. The exception is if I have to draw someone sitting on something, and I already have people drawn sitting on the same thing. If I start with the head in that case, I usually mess up and have to draw the torso too long or too short to get the bum on the seat. So I would start by drawing the bum, and working my way up.

I'm with sortelli, sort of.

I don't draw realistically a lot. Most of what I draw is just comicky stuff, so I start with what's called the "action line". It's basically the spine, or close to it. Then I draw the basic head shape, spine and basic skeletal structure, then I start with the detail.

Unless I'm lazy, which I am a lot, so I start with the head structure, then head detail, then I do something with the body that fits :)

If I draw the eyes first, I can never get them in the right place on the face.

Out of context, that still makes a lot of sense....

I draw the eyes first and then the nose.

But it doesn't always work since sometimes I have have to erase the eyes and reposition them.

Soap starts by drawing the outline on part of the face and working in from that way :D.
