I don't blame StrRedWolf at all - he put his trust in you to make responsible decisions. Authority was delegated to you, and as I see it, he is merely acting on your request. If anything, his actions speak well of him.

I did mean the nickname jokingly, but come on and admit it - you didn't request the forum be moved because of some dislike of the Hosted Communities section. You requested it be moved because you like the KeenIME forum and thought it'd be more popular if it were in the top area, which is always 'open' and would get more visibility.

Were it otherwise, you'd have fought for the Games forum first, which is significantly more popular, sparked a heated war when it was moved to the Hosted Communities section, and has had a big decline in visitation ever since. If there was a poster child for 'Move me out of Hosted Communities', Games Forum would be it.

The problem with moving KeenIME to the top is exactly what Spriteville described. What makes KeenIME worthy that makes other forums less worthy? There are CG forums that are just for one comic (a 'hosted community' certainly) that get huge volumes of traffic, and are certainly equally worthy of such limelight.

AFAIK, The top area is for operational forums (help, announcements, message board requests) and major catagories (general discussion, off topic, tips and tricks, comic pitching). Catagories people need to see, or catagories that the vast majority of the community might have a reason to interact with.

KeenIME doesn't meet those standards.

As a newcomer to the forums I have to say this in Risky's defence:-

"You have hosted communities?"

I only just noticed them after this topic, so it probably has stopped new people from finding it. Why are they separated from the main forums in the first place though? There are only thre- two. and Forum Games should probably be in the Main section as well...

Ryan, what are you even talking about? I didn't get anything delegated to me by RedWolf. I advocated for Keenime because I'm the mod of Keenime, I'm not the mod of Forum Games. RedWolf didn't choose me to be in charge of Keenime, the founder of Keenime did, and that was a long time ago.

You're wrong on almost all counts. I hate that you keep trying this with me, Ryan, so knock it off.

Whether he's right or not about your intentions, he still raises very strong points as to why it shouldn't be in the main section.

Requesting it be moved up out of the appropriate category, and doing so, just because people were asking isn't a very strong argument in the first place. Especially when one takes into consideration the difference between it and the other forums in Comic Genesis Central.

Keenime is a community for a niche audience, unlike the others which can be for prettymuch anyone. And seriously, do we need a mini-Gaia on the main page?

Besides, we already shouldn't propagate the stereotype people already have about ComicGenesis anyway.

This person called in for a change, but it was not ultimately up to him to implement them. The one to blame is yet again Kelly, who once more failed to keep his simple promise of FUCKING ASKING OPINIONS FIRST.

I don't see why you're all ragging on Risky. He said "you're wrong, knock it off" to Rkolter and suddenly everyone's up in arms. Risky may be wrong, but there's no need to start being so patronizing to him. He sounded a lot more exasperated than belligerent, at least to me.

But I thought the debate over the existence of Keenime was over long ago. I remember having a discussion with McDuffies and Jex over this, and no one could really come up with a good reason to keep Keenime. Even when Keenime was on Keenspace Central it got one post maybe every other week. Keenime shouldn't even be in Hosted Communities. It should be nixed, period. Just like that stupid Cartoonists' Choice Awards forums. What's the point of making a forum for something that happens once a year? Isn't one thread once a year good enough?
