Creations Dropdown

Post by Warofwinds »

This dropdown list is for any epic comics on any host who have created their own world whose rules are different than Earth's, or who have also spent the time creating a full history of their world. This could be magic use, different rules of physics/nature, or also could include those who, like myself, have put many hours into creating an entire world (past/present/future) . Different races do not really count, nor do furry or elf comics, unless the very basics of their world are different, or in their creation, you have made an entire unqiue history. I'm doing this to distance those comics who want to sign up from the fantasy dropdown list. This isn't a casual list of comics simply set in another environment. It's more for people who have tried to play god and created a new world. (I was going to call this little project Genesis, but then Keenspace changed the name and that would have been unfair. Eh.)

I'm hoping that those who have put so much effort into their world have also put forth that effort in their art. Please do not submit stick-figure comics, comics on lined paper, or ones that just look unfinished. Respect those on the list with you.

To join, give me your:

Name of the comic
URL
Reason why your comic fits here (like an example or something).

Name of the comic: Undead Friend
URL: http://eecomics.net/Undead.html
Reason why you should be included: Not sure how obvious it is yet, but UF is set in a different version of the world. It?s run by the two gods Life and Death and doesn?t have any of the usual religions. Contains different human races and my own version of Ghosts and Zombies and whatnot. The background of the world hasn?t been fully expressed yet but it is one of the focuses of the comic is it?s unique structure.

Name of the comic: Emergency Exit
URL: http://eecomics.net/
Reason why you should be included: The main world in EE is fairly similar to ours, but the entire structure of the universe is different. The characters travel through different worlds and meet other races and encounter new technology, magic and gods. Actually part of the same ?universe? as UF, only focused on different worlds a part of it.

Let me know if either of my comics qualifies! ^^

Hey, can I sign up?

URL of the Comic:
http://arcadia.comicgenesis.com

Name of the Comic: Circle Arcadia: Knights of the Goddess
(you can shorten it to Circle Arcadia: KotG, if you want)

It's an alternative Norse mythology based comic, where three women have been chosen to be the personal knights of Arcadia, the queen of Asengard. Valkyries, if you will. The comic is thick with mythological stuff, even though that hasn't been expressed much just yet. So far, there's been mention of eight gods, both major and minor, and the Story of Creation has been mention. I hope that's enough to qualify.

My comic:
http://tyl.comicgenesis.com
Name of Comic: Thirty Years Later
The comic revolves around three time periods of the world, the beginning of life, the great war, and the beginning of the end, shuffling through stories of each. I haven't stated the creation story yet, it's something I'd prefer to save until an important part of the story, but they all tie in nicely to create a unique world.

Title: Elven Lacryment
Why: Kaeney is a world wherein mythology and technology is a hybred, basterdized joke of itself. Gods may or may not have existed, and there's an underlying theory that one can reach the power comparible to that of the God's. None of this has been touched on yet, but it will be in later issues.

I believe my comic fits in with this. :)

url: http://gryphonsong.comicgen.com
Name: Tales from the City
Why: TFTC takes place in an original fictional world inhabited by humans and an ancient race known as Gryphonese. The world, Kahn-Mar, has its own religion and magic hierarchy. So your basic fantasy world, but I am currently writing some essays to enhance its structure and make it more unique.

The Thirteenth Month
http://thethirteenthmonth.comicgenesis.com
The Thirteenth Month deserves to join because of the planet Tyme, where most of the comic is set. The laws and rules that apply to the planet are pritty unique. Thirteen months rule a mirror planet of our Earth. Their subjects are the pure essance of each object on Earth.

Name: 1007
URL: http://loot.comicgenesis.com
1007 is based around interuniversal travel. Their home universe, which they are trying to return to, is an alternate version of our own that (spoiler!) has been getting our television shows. There is an alternate calendar, metric time, a whole lot of religions (The Crisis Children- a nontheistic religion based on the concept of constantly questioning everything, and various branches of Mechanism- a polytheistic religion which believes that humans created the gods, for example.) and the fact that its people cringe at the thought of wrapping food in plastic. And a whole bunch more spoilers I'm not gonna give away about omnipotent and otherwise powerful beings who would like to make it very clear that they are not, in fact, gods.
