Comments: How do they work?

I don't believe tags are used for this; text files are all you'll need.

The problem is that the example as per the Spacer's Gear isn't exactly clear on if it's an include tag, or a todays_comics tag, because it uses file names based on the date.

So basically, is there a way to include the file in my daily template file (so I can have the entries recorded), or do I have to stick to just updating the one on the front only?

Say you had an update 20051112.jpg and a comment in 20051112b.txt . The txt file is placed below the comic because anything dated that way is treated as a comic file by ***todays_comics***. When you put your update for 20051113, the previous update as well as the txt file will still be together in the archives on 20051112.html.

Here's the problem: Sex Percussions. What I'm trying to do is allow two posts (one from me, and the other from the illustrator), and for them to show up in the dailytemplates, specifically where the images are.

I'm not trying to be dense; it's just that I should have two text "boom"'s (the word written out) on the page, and there isn't. The example at the Spacer's Gear isn't exactly helpful on this; it gives a sample page, but it would be more useful to know the original programming works (which isn't mentioned past setting up the files).

So, is there a way to pull this off or no? And if so, how?

Well you can put HTML code into the txt file itself so you'd just take the images out of the *template.html pages' codes and put them in the txt file instead.

What happens with the txt file is, basically, anything inside is copied onto the specific archive page directly below the comic page. HTML code as well as keentags are processed accordingly and placed on the archive page.

What you could do, then, is in the text file make a new table so you have two columns for the author and artist notes, then end the table. On your index page, these will appear above your archive button and shoutbox.
