But... those already are the good ones!
Now I'm mad!

By the way, why is this thread at the bottom all of sudden?
You hate me!

I think what Kat meant was that they're very good now, but you'll improve so much that you'll look at them later and laugh because you'll be even better. :D

I know that it is what you meant, but it doesn't make it true!

oh, you might disagree in about five or ten years. I used to think that the first story I had ever written (all three hundred pages of it) was the best.

years later, I came across it again and cringed, and cringed, and cringed before finally throwing it aside in utter embarrassment. but if not for that one, I wouldn't be a writer (and a good one at that!) today. :D

You know, I'm a liiiittle pissed (but really just a little, so don't worry, I wouldn't hurt you, or something!).
For once I'm pissed because you are making assumptions about me, here.
How do you know I'm not drawing for five or ten years now?
And we are not talking about my first drawing.
Aside from that I'm pissed because you guys seem to constantly imply that you don't like my style but don't have the guts to tell me.

Please don't get wrong. I don't want to alienate you. I'm just being honest, here. I really love you guys!
It's just how I feel. Tell me, if I'm wrong.
Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest.
Please don't be mad at me now (but I think you won't, you are too nice! :D).

But apart from all that, thank you for everything you wrote so far! :D

Well, I'm not mad...it's kinda nice that you said that and didn't let it stagnate, and blow up later over something else (I've seen that happen a lot on other boards on these forums...the whole place has really gone downhill lately with flamewars and people arguing).

It's not that I don't like your style...I just like it in some pictures better than others.

And that's true, we DON'T know how long you've been drawing. I've been drawing all my life, actually, and only showed a lot of improvement over the past year or so. I was only trying to say that EVERYONE improves even more as time goes on...sorry if I made it sound rude, or like I had something against you or something...I really didn't mean to.

hey, I've been writing since I was twelve and I am CONSTANTLY improving.

that's what I was saying when I said that--you never really stop improving. so of course, it's reasonable to expect to look at the pics you draw now in ten more years and kind of go, "hmm... good, but I'm better now." I do that now with my stories I wrote even just last year.

and for the record, I DO like your drawings, Tom. :)

and yes, THANK YOU for getting that off your chest! better to talk it out reasonably than let it build up until you can't take it anymore.

Thank you, guy!
You are very understanding!

Well, that's exactly what I say!
I like my new stuff better than my old stuff!
It's just that I had the feeling you implied that my new stuff isn't better than my old stuff.
sorry if I made it sound rude, or like I had something against you or something...I really didn't mean to.
It's ok. What really bothered me was that you kept saying that I'll improve and didn't say that it's good now.

Thank you! :) I'm glad we sorted that out.

By the way, here's an earlier version of the Sabrina picture up there.
Ugh!

And, in order to bring this thread back on-topic, here's a cross-over parody fan art thing!

I like that one too...although a lot of their jokes have been stretching on...and on...and on...for far too long lately.

Well they are pretty similar shows, really. (I think I was talking about them both at one point or another anyway)

yeah and they're made by the same guy. ha!

I'm sure the overall synopsis of the show is different from Family Guy, but having never seen it before (but I have seen Family Guy before ^^), I find myself wondering if it's safe to make the assumption that the humor is very similar if not identical (or at least, nearly identical).

is it?

Well, it actually has it's own humor and style.
It doesn't have any of those surealistic cutaways.

This is true. And the jokes don't last forever like on Family Guy. But you can definately tell they're made by the same people.

Anyway, here's their synopsis of the show:
The FOX Website wrote:The series revolves around STAN SMITH (Seth MacFarlane, “Family Guy”), a CIA agent based in Langley Falls, VA, who is an undisputed weapons expert and proud family man. Stan’s wife is the sweet, Edith Bunker-esque FRANCINE (Wendy Schaal), who has carefully hidden her party-girl personality for the sake of the conservative man she loves. Stan is constantly butting heads with his ultra-liberal 18-year-old daughter, HAYLEY (Rachael MacFarlane), who is forced to go through an airport-style security check every time she comes home from a day of Women’s Studies classes at the local community college. Hayley’s 13-year-old brother is the hapless, geeky STEVE (Scott Grimes), a kid who seems to be on the verge of puberty, but can’t quite make it past the squeaky awkwardness. The Smith household is rounded out by two rather unconventional members. There’s ROGER (Seth MacFarlane), the sarcastic space alien Stan rescued from Area 51 who lives in the Smiths’ attic; and KLAUS (Dee Bradley Baker), a lascivious, German-speaking goldfish – the result of a CIA experiment gone seriously wrong.
