Re: The Happy Thread
we have a new puppy. he's about four and a half to five months old. we just got him today--just kind of out of the blue. my dad saw a "PET ADOPTIONS TODAY!" sign at PetCo and after we ate, I said "let's go look" and we ended up coming home with a really cute white-or-yellow lab puppy.

So there was that unpleasant person. Remember him? We're not friends anymore.

Re: The Happy Thread
oh, sweet! I'd offer my condolences if this was in the unhappy thread, but it's not.
how'd that come about?
as for me, life is good. I'm not anxious thanks to my medicine and yet I'm able to get angry and sad/depressed about things. this is good, because that means my medicine is not making me into a happy, cracked out zombie.

Re: The Happy Thread
It's a really long story, so I'll sum up a bit. He was being whiny and complainy as usual. He started to bring up something "dark and tragic", but stopped and said, "But you don't want to hear about that."
If you bring something up, you want to talk about it. It's a part of human nature. Even if the desire to talk about something is deep and subconcious, if you bring it up, you wish to discuss it. I snapped at him and told him I didn't want to hear about it and that he needed to get over himself. We fought for almost an hour (this is all Instant Messaging) and we both started getting really immature and petty. Finally, I asked him why he bothered talking to me because we never get along. He de-Facebook-friended me.
It's probably mean to be as happy as I am about the whole thing, but it's a huge weight off my shoulders.

I don't think it's mean at all. I'd be happy too. it's good to get a burden off of you. and this kid was exactly that--a huge burden.

Re: The Happy Thread
'Mame' is over. (I can now laugh at the fact that I accidentally did throw my champagne glass into the audience yesterday during the matinee...)
And I'm looking forward to the next one (taking about a weeks break before rehearsals start). Taming of the Shrew! I'm excited about it...Katherina was on my 'most wanted' list of parts to play (holy shit, that's TWO in one year that I've gotten now) and I'm really looking forward to getting to act with my friend that's playing Petrucio!

Re: The Happy Thread
Man, I don't think I've gotten on here since before the auditions and my play...don't remember.
Anyway, since I haven't been, I'll post something a bit outdated: Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew' is our next production, and I got Katherina...I'm playing the shrew herself!!!

Re: The Happy Thread
I made it to 80 on WoW the other night.
And, as a non-WoW thing; I got to work yesterday afternoon...it was a chilly, cloudy, SLOW day. Pretty soon after I got there, a guy walked in that I'd worked with awhile on Saturday. He walked straight to a ring and bought it from me, complete with warranty. So it was pretty nice...I made a $1,500 sale without having to do ANY work for it yesterday, as I'd already done the work a few days before!

I had a most interesting conversation with one of my heterosexual male friends about why guys are attracted to breasts.

Re: The Happy Thread
The thought of internet parties amuses me. Seriously...a friend and I once over mIRC started playing the Pirates of the Caribbean movies at the same time, and had a rum night. Then a few weeks ago my WoW guild had a drinking night (not the whole guild, but a few of us. on skype and everything).
