Re: Recent Comics
I didn't get much of a choice about eating sushi for the first time. They had free samples here on campus and my friend ran up and shoved one in my mouth while my arms were full of books.

I like sushi. >_>

Hmmm, panhandlers and vagrants, we have those in Pittsburgh as well. One nice thing about knowing the local cops is that they can tell you who the genuine charity cases are, as opposed to the professional parasites!

Re: Recent Comics
We have them around here too. They seem to hang out around the clubs and hit up the college students all the time... which can be creepy when it's 3 in the morning.

Wow, spear hunting, that is a genuine challenge! (If I ever got the desire to chase down Bambi, I still would probably use a revolver) Wow, all the cool stuff you can find on a road trip! =^^=

Hummingbird
I know we have these things in our state, but outside of an aviary, I've never had the chance to see one live. I still can't get over how tiny they are!

Never had too many incidents with yard tools, however full speed with zero suspension over a freshly washboarded road will sure wake you up.

Heh, that's the reason I think we need to redo Pa's road system in concrete, at least for 100 yards away from stoplights...
We get the same effect here at our busy intersections when the summer sun melts the tar in the asphalt, then athe big rigs mash it down a bit and the fun begins...
I guess that is a true pleasure if you're riding a bike over it! =^^=

I used to offer hugs to everyone I'd meet. Or pass by. I wasn't in a bear costume, mind you, but people still found me creepy.

Re: Recent Comics
I must admit, being ensconced on the throne would be a memorable way to start an act...

Heh, quite, the only people that are to be trusted with firearms are the police and government. Because we know that these paragons of self-control, fairness and stewardship would NEVER abuse such power over the people!

This guy would more than just hug you. He would also put one leg around you and rub your back at the same time, while giving you the hug. And, if you gave him half a chance he would also pat you on the head before letting you go.Sixty X Celph wrote:I used to offer hugs to everyone I'd meet. Or pass by. This guy had issues plain and simple.
I doubt you ever came close to being this creepy Sixty X Celph.

Re: Recent Comics
I used that book as a reference on my final speech in my college public speaking class. The speech was entitled “Why You Should Own a Gun”. I also made a PowerPoint to go along with it. (Now that I think about it, it might be fun to dig it up and post it on my site. I may just do that someday.)
Ralph Hayes (http://www.rhjunior.com) first told me about the book.
Oh yeah, the speed got an “A”.

Good! I was worried no one would catch that.Sixty X Celph wrote:Nice use of a Kung Pow! Enter The Fist reference. (^_^)
“Kung Pow!” took stupid humor to a new higher level of funniness. Still one of my favorites.
