OK, short version of the story;
My present employer is a technical outsourcer. One of their contracts was for a major Restaurant chain. Recently this Chain got wind of the part that there came to a point where there was only one guy handling all the high-level technical issues. And threatened to cancel their contracts.
To avoid this, they(my employer) "talked" their way to extending the contract, plus support for LAPTOPS, end-user systems, and the software loaded in them. A good possible 120 plus combinations of them. Not ONLY do WE support the HARDWARE, but the software that may accompany them. And to add insult, Corporate bigwigs are some of the "end-users". Oh, try this: The training manual was read to US by the trainer. I could have done that if you handed me the book. The "book" and the so-called training was a joke. A BIG JOKE.
NEEDLESS to say I'm Gonna make this PART-TIME, to minimise my exposure to this Bullshit. And get me another cushy job. Again, part time.
'K, enough venting. time to Relax, and play PSO. look for "Raven" or "^_^". Yes, that is my second character. I ran out of ideas for names.

Hey, JJ if you think that is bad, my job just fired about 47 people for "Financial reason" aka downsizing. The problem is that they fired people who stayed with this company through the merger, and the change of leadership, and all the new bullshit rules we have to work under, and were productive members of the company (Not to mention easy to work with). So they just indicated to me that there is no loyalty in this company if you make a decent amount of money (Which I do). So, I am updating my resume. Nothing like being at work, and wondering when they are going to fire you so the company can save money.<P>Damond
