For one: In case you haven't noticed, this is helping the post count.
For two: If you'll actually take the time to READ lx's post, you'd see that he's not kissing my ass -or- taking my side. He was simply -telling- Robbie that he should actually ARGUE, rather than repeat, "It's just for fun," over and over, with a few personal barbs at me for flavor. Which I totally agree with, and is the ONLY reason why I'm still talking. lx was -defending me-, which is a pretty damn brave thing to do on this forum, and the fact that the comment 'you can stop being a lil ass kisser' even came up in the first place even further proves his point. And in case you missed it, WHICH YOU DID, it -was-: "answer the damn question." The question being, "Why does the shinku board have to resort to useless posts to stay at the top of the charts?" I GET the point that it's a rivalry, and that both sides are cool with it. And I really don't -care- what the BmB forum does at this point. Just because everyone else does it doesn't make it right. Robbie's defended the fact that we're being stupid, but only by pointing a finger and shouting, 'they're doing it too!'
For three: I originally posted my opinion because I wanted to hear -why- such idiotic tactics would be used, and because I like stating my opinion. I wanted to hear an argument, defending the forum. Too bad that all these posts have failed to do even that. Here ya go, Robbie: your argument in every single post in a nutshell. Sometimes they're rephrased, of course, so keep that in mind.
"It's just for fun, we're just doing it for fun, everyone's having fun," and keep in mind that 'fun' must be used at least 10 times in the actual body of the message, "BmB even admitted to trying to beat Shinku!," which I've already addressed, but that's okay, you have to remember to keep bringing up points that have already been covered, even if on ICQ, "(Insert a personal barb here)," whether it's someone being negative, having lost their touch at having fun, or being a 'lil' ass kisser,' "we're ALWAYS stupid here," which actually explains alot, and if you'd actually say it like -that-, that would probably serve as a pretty damn good defense, "and I think BmB is really really cool and the writer/artist is really really cool too," says the person who accused lx of being a 'lil ass kisser.'
Tell me -- anywhere in there, did you see a single valid point? o_o I sure didn't. Try replying to me without any of the above. I dare you. n_n
-me
[This message has been edited by OA (edited 04-23-2001).]

oh come on, whining about A POST ON A MESSAGE BOARD. they werent even very good sequentially numbered posts! personally i dont see what the big deal is. i didnt know i was supposed to follow the "posting on a message board" rules. anyway, your both(oa, the guy with the x in his name) adults, i'm guessing, and probably have better things to do than argue about this.
[This message has been edited by RainyDayMan (edited 04-23-2001).]
I give up. I'm ducking out of this arguement. But I leave this thread with this: The topic of this arguement has to be the most pointless ones I've come across in ages. It's causing unneeded friction between all of us. Please, Yamcha, OA, Xarph, lets just drop it before we create further rifts between eachother.
------------------

Well being number 1 is great. But I think being number one due to actually people talking not just being random all the time. I have nothing with random posts on a board like ever so ofter, they actually can be amusing at times. But I feel it doesn't say much for the board if the majority of the board is just one-liners or one word, or someone just saying this post 1, post 2, post 3. etc.... I'm not saying that this board is like that but, I wouldn't want it to get that way. Now I feel that Nicole has made valid points along with Robbie. As for Maturity goes, everyone has a point of how mature they are. I mean I think I am mature at my job and make sure my bills get paid and things like that, but outside of work I can get immature along with the rest of us I'm sure. Robbie is the same way, wish he would clean more tho. *poke poke nudge nudge* ^_^ Anyways, and not to dissapoint you but Shinku is not the #1 comic on the board well atleast not by their banner list is actually #73. But I still say Shinku rocks ^_^ Ok people's think I have rambled enough yet. And Nicole I didn't use the f word at all.
