Hey hey! This weekend I had a bit of money to burn, and since it's been a while since I bought myself something, I got me a few things. First of all, I got the Fantasia 3 DVD set that has Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, and Fantasy Legacy with too much information you'd ever want to know about Disney's flicks which are cool but can induce sleep under the right circumstances. Yamcha has the Fantasia DVD set so I had to have it, too.
I also got a few PSX games this weekend, two that suck and two that don't. The two that suck are Hasbro Galaga and Incredible Crisis. Galaga sucks because it's not Galaga. Give me Galaga 88 or Arrangement any day. Incredible Crisis sucks because most of the mini-games are what I call 'counter-intuitive' and very few are mildly entertaining at best. You want a good mini-game collection? Get Mario Party or the GBC Game and Watch Galleries or my pick for Game of the Year 2000: The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
Luckily, Incredible Crisis and Galaga were really cheap, so I don't mind it that they suck. Plus I probably would've bought those games anyway just out of morbid curiosity. However, I found an even cooler game today that I bought that was even cheaper that I have never heard of before. It's a PSX puzzle game called Star Sweep, and it was 8 bucks at Best Buy. It was hiding in a cart set aside by the video game aisle, and when I found it I had no idea what it was. Agetec released it sometime I don't know when, but it's a simple Tetris-like puzzle game that looks like it was directly imported from Japan. There's all these cute SD characters, most of them are annoying little girls, but the game is pretty fun...for 8 bucks anyway. Not the most original puzzle game around but still fun. Looks like a game Sparkle would get. I've never seen it before. Here's a picture of the Japanese box for Star Sweep.

It's an update of Dragon Buster seen on Museum 2, but Dragon Valor really plays more like a Final Fight game. It's a mindless yet fun action game where all you do is slash monsters and dragons with your sword. The graphics and sound are GREAT and it's two discs long, too! And like I said, it's pure mindless fun. Any Namcophiles out there need to do themselves a favor and go get this game!
And that's all for now.
--Klonoa
