I was bored on my lovely trip around Podunct Oklahoma this holiday that I started wondering about something. If for some odd reason if Shinku! was ever animated and I had to hire professional voice actors, who would I pick? Here's my list, but I'd like to here who you guys would pick to voice the characters as well. Anywho, without further ado....
Robbie - This was a hard one, since Robbie is in fact me. Anywho I went through a couple of ideas, first I thought of Rob Paulson, but his steroe typical characters are usually loud and sarcastic, not a good idea for Robbie. Then I thought about Casey Casem, but his voice just didn't seem right when I picture the character having that voice come from his mouth. So I settled on Brad Swaile, most known as the Mousse in the English dub of Ranma. His voice seems to have just the right touch for Robbie. I can't explain why, but I can just picture his voice perfectly coming from Robbie's mouth.
Leroy - This one was also hard, I wanted someone that could play a sarcastic character, but not talk too much. First idea was Rob Paulson, but Paulson's characters while sarcastic talk a lot, in fact too much for Leroy, that and I once again couldn't see the voice coming out of Leroy's mouth. I also thought about Jason Alexander (Duckman), but that was all wrong. I decided that Sara Strange (the original voice for the English Ranma) was perfect. Ranma's voice sounds sarcastic and has that "I don't really care" attitude that seems to ooze from Leroy a lot. Thus I felt that Sara Strange would be perfect for the part.
James - This one wasn't too hard, but it did take a bit of thinking. At first I was thinking Jess Harnell famous for Wakko Warner, but James and British accents don't work, so I decided that Lorenzo Music (Garfeild) who has the perfect laid back voice I'd expect for James.
Cary - Ian Corlet's voice is perfect for Cary. Ian did the voice of Dr. Tofu in Ranma and Goku in the first season of DBZ. His voice is very calm, nice, and kinda' innocent sounding, perfect for Cary.
JIrish - This one was kinda' weird, since I in due honesty have never heard the real life JIrish's voice, but I decided Dan Castleneta would do perfect if he did his Earthworm Jim styled voice (and not Homer Simpson).
Mutt - Okay, this one was a toss-up, I could see two good voice actors for Mutt. One is Frank Welker, who has voice acted in almost every cartoon ever made (I imagine him using his Ray Stantz voice from the Real Ghostbusters for this job), or Kermit Miller who is best known as the English voice for Tenchi in Tenchin Muyo. I decided that Kermit would be perfect for the role of Mutt. He plays the worrisome, slightly geeky (no offense, Mutt) part perfectly. Too bad Mutt doesn't get woman like Tenchi.... hell, too bad I don't get women like Tenchi
Nicole - I thought of the perfect voice for Nicole right off the bat. Tress MacNeille, best none for playing Babs Bunny and Dot Warner, is perfect for Nicole, she's great at playing characters that ooze the words cute and hyper which is perfect for Nicole.
So those are the voices I think would work, but wht do you guys think?

Kermit Miller is really the same person, but Kermit was only used for the first few OAVs. All of the actors changed their names, but just for the first OAVs. For instance, I know that Debi Derryberry, voice of Ryo-ohki, used the another name that had the last name Cabbit. And you are not near hot, sweet, cute, adorable, or kick-ass enough to get women like Tenchi can. I love ya Rob, but that's just the truth. He's geeky, but I'd let him cower in fear behind me anytime.

Dan Castleneta? Hmm. That's almost flattering, since I think the guy does great work. And you know what a big EWJ fan I am.
BTW, Yamcha, just give me the word, and I can send you a tape of my radio show. That way, you'll finally hear the voice of Shinku's narrator/man of mystery.
"Guuuuuuuuuuuuuu-ROOVEY!"

And when we are on the air, we share the webcast server with 3 other schools, so listening to it becomes 1st come, 1st serve, and is nearly impossible most of the time.
Besides, I have your address, and I'll need to get my DJ-rust off before going back to work in a few weeks (since I want to come back to the airwaves in top form), so I'd be more than happy to produce a custom-made tape of the show for you, mail it off, and even pay the postage. Name like 5 songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's or 80's that you'd like on it, I'll see if I have them, and I'll just surprise you with the rest.

2. Don't got it, will look for it cash suply and the rest of that group's repertoire allowing (I'm not about to buy a CD with only one song I want to use on the show proper these days).
3. Got it, edited single version, though.
4 and 5. Got 'em both in their best known versions.
