IMPORTANT ANOUNCEMENT!

I just wanted to let everyone know, Weregeek is going to a new site and server in a few days, at the URL http://www.weregeek.com! Right now that URL is directed back to comicgenesis, but once the transfer goes through, it will be moved to the new site.

For now, we're keeping an archive of strips here at comicgenesis, and we are leaving the forums active. So nobody is going to lose any forum posts or anything! I just wanted to let you forum readers know what's up, so you have some advanced warning. :-)

PS: the new site design is GREAT. It's all ComicPress, and we're very very happy with it. :-)

I'm not too worried, even if the forums moved I'm sure that we'd soon see posts get counted.

I for one would print my game threads to PDF and link them in the new forums.

Congratulations on the impending move. Weregeek's doing very very well for a Comic Genesis comic so leaving seems like a great next step.

Umm... am I the only person having problems when reading the comic? I sometimes have to click on the next button about 5 or more times before I can get to the next comic.

ADDENDUM: I just typed the url into my browser and got an error message. I held down the F5 key for a solid 10 or 15 seconds, and even then I wasn't sure that the page would load.

Has anyone else been encountering these problems? The hosting we got was rather cheap, and I'm concerned that it might not be able to handle the traffic we get. Keep us posted if you have problems viewing the site!

Every once in a while I have an issue with the site not wanting to load. I usually give it about 10 minutes and try again. That tends to work just fine.

Alina's been getting quite a few emails about people having problems getting into the site. Load times are way up as well... so we've decided to switch to a better host. We're now on Dreamhost (or will be in the next day or two). Keep us apprised if you still have problems loading the website. :-)

Whenever I try to go to the site now, OpenDNS gives me an error. It says that it got to the Dreamhost nameservers, but then found no records of any kind. Help?

I'm fairly sure that the DNS hasn't finished propagating yet, since it's only been about 30-some hours... but I'll look into it. Hopefully in another day or two, this will all be solved.

Ok, we're experiencing some technical difficulties... hopefully the site will be up later today, and when it is, it'll be much much faster to load.
