Simon looks at the doorway as the others manage to wrench the door off it's hinges and waves his thanks to them, then sets about searching the room for any hidden valuables before leaving to check the other nooks. As he searches he considers how to keep the other doors from closing behind him and trapping him when he searches those nooks. It occurs to him that pehaps a simple bag of sand would be the best way to jam up the doors so they can't move. Unfortunately he doesn't happen to have a bag of sand with him, so he continues thinking about other ways to jam the doors open as he searches his nook.
Simple Simon met a pieman going to the fair;
Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Let me taste your ware."
Said the pieman to Simple Simon "Show me first your penny."
Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Sir, I have not any!"
Half-elves and golems and nymphs, oh my!

Terra saw that the doors had finally opened and she smirked a bit knowing that now the adventure could continue. "Well then that was rather different to say the least," she said while wiping any dust that feel onto her from prying the hinges off of the door. "So what is next? I just hope it is not anymore of these events, they are rather dull," she added.

Rowan is just popping 2 hinges off of each door, so that they won't close properly, and therefore won't be able to trap any more poor souls behind them. Once that's done, he'll gather his belongings back up and move to take point since Terra's in the QIS box.
Rowan will shadow Simon as Simon is now our top thief/scout since Nightbreeze is also in the QIS box.
I believe Jakob was heading to check out the door with the Flame at the top?

Ellimist looks up in surprise, as with a wrenching sound, the door opens. His eyes quickly adjusting to the light, he moves towards his rescuers, desperate to be out of the sideroom. He reaches out for them, his arms still covered in the foul-smelling gunk of decomposed flesh he had been searching through.
Ah! Thank you friends! I was worried I was going to me trapped in there permanantly.
He has to fight to keepMaromi from bowling him over as he walks out of the door.

Jakob slips out of the Quantum Indeterminate State, whispering under his breath. Anybody who could bother hear it, and possess a basic knowledge of religion would recogise the words as a memorise prayer.
"Please, Great Nyx, protect me from the pointy things..."
Upon opening his eyes, Jakob mutters something about a scary non-space and gleefully (as opposed to his usual dose of paranoia) checks the floor leading up to the dark flame door for traps, upon reachng the door, he checks that as well.
"Its okay, only a minor hallucination..."
<Jakob is, obviously, referring to his extended stay in the QIS which was promptly aborted due to money reasons.. I thought this would be funny. Goodbye, Fourth Wall, I shall break you often.>

Simon Searches: (1d20+6=18)You find a rusty fork, twenty silver and a note that reads 'Pull the ships' wheel clockwise'.
Rowan finishes popping the hinges off the doors and proceeds to follow Simon around.
The wolf Maromi jumps on a shambling, garbage-covered figure and begins licking its face.
Korgan has a foot on the door, preventing its closure. The door sues, stating it needs closure in its lack of life.
Jakob searches foor traps: 1d20+7=24The room has a checker-board pattern of depressable tiles; you stepped on one of them. The others seem similar. The tiles touching the walls do not seem to have triggers on them.
Jakob searches the door: (1d20+7=13)You detect no traps on the 'dark flame' door.
Anyone who is also headed for the 'dark flame' door reaches it safely.
(Did I miss anything?)

Simon gathers up the loot her finds lieing around and stuffs it into his pockets. The coins can be shared around with the others later ... or not. He doesn't fancy the idea of trying to eat with a fork that's been lieing around in this place for any length of time, but then again you never know when a five inch piece of metal might come in handy. He scratches his head over the cryptic note before stuffing that in his pocket as well. Maybe it was a clue to some trap further along in the dungeon that some poor adventurer before them hadn't gotten the chance to use. Or maybe it was the first line of a poem somebody hadn't gotten around to finishing. Or perhaps somebody was just testing out a new quill and couldn't think of anything better to write. Whatever the case may be, a scrap of paper was a scrap of paper. Maybe the bard would have some writing impliments he could use to make a map of this place.
He nods to Rowan as he exits the alcove and glances to the left where the others are checking out the next room. He raises his eyebrows at the sight of the filth-covered druid getting gleefully molested by the wolf. He looks back at Rowan.
"Looks like Ellimist really gets into his work when he does a search. At least the wolf is giving him a bath. Well, there's two alcoves left. Should we see about searching them too or go after the hisssaaaah!"
He hisses in pain when he unwisely jerks his thumb in the direction the others have gone and aggravates his wound. He clutches at his ribcage in pain for a few seconds as he waits for the pain to die down again.

Rowan glances over at the joyous reunion of wolf and elf with a grin and shrugs his shoulders at Simon.
"Nah, let's search 'em on the way out. Onward to adventure, eh? You going to be all right? Not bleeding out, I hope."
Rowan pokes his head into the circular room, careful not to step on the floor in the room. His torch held high, he nods at Jakob.
"Once everyone's ready, do you want to do the honours and open the door? By the way, which of the floor tiles are the trapped ones again?"

"Mind the deck, its all checkered and trap-like!" he calls. "One of 'im set off our friendly doors back there, try hugging the walls, they don't look so precarious!"

"Mind yourself Jacob, you two're getting ahead of yourselves!" Korgan is distracted from berating the scout by the yelp of the gnome. "Simon! What's wrong with you? You want me to kiss your boo-boo or are you going to finish looting the other chambers?"

"Stonefoot, you never do anything nice," the cat burgler teases. "Did Mommy and Daddy StinkyDwarf not hug you enough as a child? With clerics like you, its a wonder people EVER join your church."
Jakob wraps up his teasing by returning to his Door of Mysterious Mystery, smiling wryly and waiting for Korgan's reparte.

Korgan narrows his eyes at Jacob from across the gloom and murmurs quietly to Rowan "You hold the door...." and without waiting for Rowan he steps away from the heavy door and goes over to the southern alcoves with Simon, taking the torch with him.
(who was the other person with a torch? Aeron I think, is he QIS now?)

Simon glares at Rowan and Korgan as they make light of his wound.
"Oh, don't worry about me. I just love having a gaping hole in my side. Makes me feel all breezy and stuff."
Seeing the direction Korgan is headed, Simon ambles over to the southwest alcove, mindful not to aggravate his injury further. He glances in it without actually stepping inside.
"These things are blasted tricky to deal with. There's a switch hidden in the floor inside that shuts the door behind you and I haven't had much luck spotting them so far. Can't seem to find the mechanisms that work the doors either, so that generally leaves brute force as our only method of opening the doors once they shut unless someone wants to go poking around the switches in the next room. We could really use something strong enough to brace these doors open so the person searching the alcove doesn't have to be busted out again."
His eyes scan the room, looking for anything that might serve to keep the doors open. He spots the battering ram, but it seems too long one way and too narrow the other. Then his eyes fall upon the battered chair and he scratches his chin thoughtfully.
"Hmm... Maybe that chair would work. Think you could wrestle it over here?"
((OOC: Just FYI, that little scratch Simon took from that skeleton took out half of his hit points, so it's no minor wound.))

Simon gathers, talks and hisses in pain.
Rowan is casually inquisitive as to wether Simon is about to expire.
Jakob warns of probable checkerboard trap and supposes the edges clear.
Jakob: Listening to a Check: (1d20+6=16)Jakob might have heard something. Possibly the blood pulsing through his head, possibly movement. It's hard to tell.
Korgan expresses Korganly sympathy for Simons' pain and cautions Jakob. Not in that order.
Jakob teases Korgan about his courtesy.
Korgan takes this about as well as expected and heads over to Simon, leaving the door to close and Jakob quite possibly in the dark.
Rowan replaces him at the door.
Simon grouses about pain in general and Rowan and Korgan in particular. He then proceeds to examine and explain the alcoves, somehow missing that Rowan had wrenched the hinges off the doors.

Jakob, an idea striking him like a war hammer (Which fortunately is unable to penetrate his armor class and thus deal no damage), spins around and inspect the doorway leading to the entrance from his position, especially looking for any sort of sigil carved above THAT door.

Korgan looks a bit puzzled at the door, the gnome, andthe chair.
"That skeleton really did nearly kill you! May your heart beat strong and pump the Strength of life back into your senses..." Korgan casts Cure Light Wounds on Simon.
"You must have lost a lot of blood if it effected your eyesight that bad, Simon. Rowan snapped the hinges as soon as they opened. Look, the door's broken!" Korgan pushes the stone slab with his foot so it falls away from them both and probably makes quite a bit of noise.
