Arizona, eh? I went to school in Tucson for a year, and man, do I ever miss the desert! It was sort of like the prairies that I'm used to, except warmer, redder, and full of interesting animals and birds.

That the climate could kill an unprotected man and that most of the animals were full of deadly, deadly poisons never seemed to phase me much.

Things should NEVER fall from the sky, it's a bad precedent to be setting. First water, then frozen water, what's next? Airplanes? Puppies? Fluffy-wuffy kittens!!? I think not my good (gender related statement here) not while I'm on watch!

There was once a great larp at UND but that died back in 2002 and made me sad

Ummm sure why the hell not sounds like fun I kinda got the anime club president interested in DnD so te he he he.

You mean UND had a LARP o.0 OMG I was sooo sad when I came here to see the number of well nerdy things happening here dropped to almost zero until I found anime club.

Man, just to fill in the blank.

While it is often said to be raining cats and dogs here, that is just an expression.

Frogs, however, have been reported to fall from the sky on occasion, mostly in England. But then, the english are all crazy. But in a good way.

I am kind of amazed that Alina went to school here in Tucson, and actually misses it! Though I live in Tucson now, I grew up in Maine and would trade the desert for the blood sucking insect infested forest any day. At least there, there were more plants bearing fruit than plants looking to stick you with something sharp.
My name made sense when I first thought it up.

I apologize in advance for the inevitable awkwardness.

I love sunshine! I'm working at the beach as a lifeguard starting immediately after final exams! I think cold is annoying. I have never been to Arizona, and I don't think I want to go. I don't want to be land-locked. Japan sounds like fun, though. The ocean is really cold in Maine and if you go in the water in, say, April in Maine, you'd die and I don't think that's cool. Also, most of Maine's coast is rocky, so even if the cold didn't kill me, the rocks and the current would. (In my case, staying out of the water is not an option. Ever.) When I grow up, I'd like to live somewhere warm, with lots of beaches, like maybe Florida or Califoria.
I don't mind rain, actually, it makes things grow. Water should fall from the sky, the storms should last less than six hours, it should be really humid before the rainstorm so when it clouds over it's a relief, and storms should be really intense and dramatic. Apart from those, it should just sun all the time.

I think I would hurt myself if I lived in an area that did not at least see snow a few times a year and got a decent amount of thunderstorms. As much as I do complain about the cold, it is soooo nice getting under layers of covers and getting all warm and toasty then durring the summer when it is hot and going under the covers is not a good option.

I am from southwest Colorado. We do get some snow, but not much. I will be going to Santa Fe, New Mexico in the fall for college.

I really, REALLY cannot imagine a year without at least 3 months of straight snow, usually 4, sometimes 5....

So yes, I live in Finland, wouldn't trade it for the world.. :) Could consider moving to Canada tho, but I kinda like it here.. I've also lived in Spain and England for a few years, and have been around the world travelling, so its not like I don't know what the world has to offer... :p

I was born and raised in Louisiana, I'm currently living in Texas, and I spent last year in Iraq. 80 degrees is a bit chilly to me.

[edit: removed additional punchline when it was concluded that using Wikipedia to make pop-culture references kind of defeats the point.]
