Yikes, I can't even cast Remove Disease yet. This is gonna suck for Jacob.
I've updated the map for what I think just happened.
Once we take care of the small swarm on Jakob and inside the round room, do you guys think we could open the door a little to make a nice rat guillotine for them to crawl through?
Narf, for the people that were at the door, was the whole floor covered in rats? I'll need to change my map if the swarm filled the room.

Anyway, I'm thinking I'm gonna have to start keeping my Player's Handbook by my computer from here on in until I start remembering how to do basic stuff like roll for an attack. -.-

Oh, right. This is the WereGeek forums, not the Elf Only Inn forums. Guess if you don't read EOI you wouldn't really be familiar with that quote. It's sort of a running gag from back in the day when EOI used to be about people RPing in a chat room, back before the comic went MMORPG. "It hurts and stings" was the common response to any kind of injury sustained in combat, starting with this strip.

Sorry about the week of not postery, but if my computer was a person, I would have stabbed it in frustration by now. I'm back from vacation and have access at work at least, so that's something. I should have my puter beaten back into submission soon.

Thunderhowl, don't waste Rowan's action shutting the door. Korgan's action in the first round was to rush forward and body check the door shut so that the tide of rats would be cut off. Go ahead and start attacking. Korgan will join you after he makes sure the door stays shut.

Thanks Tom, I missed that in all the shuffle of my computer betraying me. I'll go edit my post now. Hopefully I'll have the cursed thing working again early this week.

Just as a question, I've never totally understood how they worked swarms in 3.5. Do they just have a pool of hit points and when you do damage you are assumed to kill "a bunch" or what? Also, what's the damage for a lit torch? 1d4?
