First level, as was explained earlier in the strip.
I've decided to go with a Rogue, and, on a whim, used Invisible Castle to roll up his stats.
I Used the name "Jack" as a temporary measure, which I will not continue to use. Knowing this name isn't helpful, I'll provide the link:

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?a=show&id=1068132

Yes, I did do that in one roll.
(although admittadly, I did several rolls - some better some worse - a few days ago, all under the name "test" or "no one")
More info coming to your DM-liness later, as soon as I get some of this odd "sleep" stuff in my system and revitalize my "brain"

<<EDIT>>
PDF Files for charecter sheets can be found at:
http://www.rpgsheets.com
For those of you who don't already know. Not having a printer, I'll be storing my sheet electronically. With a back-up on photobucket or some similar site.

Monk or Rogue
Pros: Monks are supercharged, and underequipped
Rogue: Friggin BADA*S (Currently not willing to experiment with comicgenesis filters)
Both prestige into Invisbile Blade quite well, but Monks make it so... EASY.

However, I don't remeber the requirments (Other than the 'defeat a more powerful foe using only such-n-such, and I plan to be a kama man anyway, becuase lets face it, Kamas are ALSO bada*s) for Invisible Blade, and the Complete Warrior (That IS what CW means, right) is still in the mail.
Hrm.... decisions, decisions...

I'm already playing a Rogue, so maybe you should go with the monk. Kinda sounds like you prefer that class anyway from the way you talk it up. :)

Apologies for the double post. I decided to give Invisible Castle a try. I figured since I'm scaling Simon back to a level 1 character for this game anyway I might as well see what kind of new stats I could roll for him. I elected to give the Grid method a whirl. It didn't come out as well as his previous stats or what Thanatos got, and I did have to roll twice to get a set of stats that didn't suck, but I'm fairly happy with the results. Here's Simon's new Level 1 Stats:

I'l try to get the rest of the revisions done this weekend. I'll link ya to his new character sheet when it's ready.

I know a lot of people who do play by post games. However, I haven't really had a good playing experiance with it, althought there's a couple I like to lurk at. I am leery of joining. However, I look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Okay, I've started working up the new scaled down level 1 version of Simon Burble, my Gnome Rogue. You can check him out here:

Still got a lot of stuff to figure up, but I'm getting there. Should have him finished up by tomorrow night I guess. I always seem to start getting excited about a new game while I'm working on the character sheet for some reason. ^_^

It just occurred to me that I'm leaving for Peru on for twelve days this Tuesday so I doubt I'd be able to contribute to this afterall :x

I am totally interested in this, but how would an online RPG session work? Is it in real time? By posting by a set time/date? My schedule is probably reverse to everyone else, as I work nights and sleep during the day. Also, I have a Living City character, would that be acceptable? His stats are by official RPGA rules, though they might be outdated...I'd have to check.

As long as you can give me and SRD reference for anything I don't have a book for.

Play will proceed by posting to a thread.

I just messaged you my character, the bard Elana Goldman. Do you like? Should I fix? When do we play? How often should we post? How often does everyone else check the forums? (I can be on between eight and midnight most evenings, and usually check these forums once during that timespan and then go do other stuff.)
EDIT: And by that I mean between eight and midnight New England time, which is between midnight and 4AM on Greenwich Mean Time. I assume Narf may want to know this for planning purposes...what about the rest of you?

If everyone can be ready by Wednesday, we could start then. One post a day should do.

Also, the character looks ok to me.

I've just gotten some intel from my fellow rogue, (I've decided to go with rogue, after all, how FUN!)
this could be a very interesting group, from what I read. What, with the whole no cleric-or-fighter yet.

Well, Tom did say he wanted to play a Cleric, but that was a couple of days ago. I wonder if he's been working on that?

I'd like to learn to play D&D (if you can stand another learner). I'll post up a character as soon as I've looked through the rules a bit, I'll probably play a druid.

I, as a player have no problem with it, but we could use a fighter or some other warrior-type charecter, like a Ranger or a Paladan (If you want to keep your spellcasting ability, that is.) Rangers would keep the whole reverant to Mother Nature schtick.
I, personally, have neither played a druid, nor had a buddy play one at the same table. I'd be glad to help where I can.

On another note:

I'll whip up a fighter. I have the stats done, but since I don't have the 3.5 books, just the 3.0 books, it's been a little slow going. I should be done and submitted by Wednesday, however.
I'll be playing a lighter swashbuckler-type fighter. Pretty vanilla.

I am still interested by the way guys, I just don't get online much on the weekends. Almost ever post I've ever made on here has been from work.

Not only am I usually gaming on the weekend and not at a computer anyway, but when I do have time I'm always using someone else's, and my friends don't like to share. Heh.

I'll get that cleric rolled up and online soon.

edit- I just got my firest break and rolled up two sets of stats.
OMG, the pain!
16, 15, 17, 17, 13, 4

The second set is just sort of dull.
10, 9, 14, 14, 9, 17

I'mr really not sure which one I want to deal with! I can make both work for my cleric of Kord.

Advice?

YAY!
That means we're covered on all the *important* angles.
We don't need no stinkin' magick-users (Personally, I'm not a fan of preparing your spells beforehand, and I liked a slew of useless cantrips [Cut? Grow? Itch? You can't deny the hilarity!] now they're all covered by a single first-level spell. Phooey.)
or those of you who want to gaze at my rogue, its here:

http://www.3edb.com/viewCharacter.asp?cid=16075

I'll fix those typos sometime soon.
Hopefully.
