That plan is battle-tested, and rogue approved. On a note as to party dynamics, Rowan and Jakob both seem to be equally "take charge", or maybe its just that thunderhowl and I have no lives.
I would gladly give party leadership over to the swashbuckler, though. I'm pretty sure an "esteemed leader" situation will come up. They always do.
Hey man! I totally have a life and stuff. *insert bluff skill check here*
I'm too Chaotic Good to really lead, but I'll happily guide and advise. I think it's working good so far, especially since Rowan is more interested in being liked than listened too. He's perfectly willing to listen to everyone's two cents, especially since they might have information he doesn't. How about we play it by ear for now.

Your bluff check has been totally trounced by my Sense Motive.

Ummmm should I just make a post in the IC saying that Terra joined them ... seeing that was the plan to have those three open the door from the OOC?? Or will it just be assumed.

Just realised, I never posted what spells I had prepared. If it's not too late:

0-Level: 2x Cure Minor Wounds, 1x Detect Magic
1st- Level: Shillelagh

Also, do we wait for the person before us (in intiative) to post their actions in combat, or do we post ours out of order and then have them resolved?

Great. I'm gone for one day and things go all to hellanback. :\ I haven't even looked at the IC thread yet and I'm dreading it. Well, better go see what kind of a mess we've gotten ourselves into now.

Edit: Crap. Sure was a lot that happened while I wasn't able to log on today. Let's see if I can get myself back into the swing of things before I am totally left by the roadside.

BTW, there are two days out of the week when I typically can not get on the web during the day: Sunday and Tuesday. On those days my only access to the net comes in the evening. Sorry if that means Simon stands around wool-gathering during those periods. :(

I'm sorry, but my character sheet doesn't have a URL because I'm not cool like that. I wrote it on paper and typed it into a private message. I'd rather not re-type it, so could you please post my character or explain how to make character sheet web sites because I am a silly noob? Thank you for tolerating this silly noob, wise one. I'm only going to be on once a day.

Campy jokes in the middle of combat?
What, are we fighting the Undead or something?
Oh- we are.

Indeed. We have the straight men already, so jesting is always appreciated!

On another note, I vote we call the group the Guild of Paranoid Adventurers. It seems to fit best currently.

Two more pages!? Holy crap that's a lot for a weekend!

I thought we would only have to check in once a day. I guess I'll join combat!

Oh and Thanatos, just because you speak in read letters doesn't mean my cleric is going to think you're Jesus. Nice try.

Doesn't matter. your charecter worships Kord.
"Jesus who?"
I chose red becuase I use a black background for comicgenesis, and its my standard speech coloring for black backgrounds unless i want to go with a certain effect. For example, I use an ugly green for "venemous" voices and yellow for highly expendable charecters thet I'm prolly gunna kill off.

Just so you all know, Dareth is being a smartass, but I'm mostly just trying to conserve my tiny supply of spells. He wouldn't be wasting a round on sarcasm if it wasn't just a zombold.

Sheesh.

OK so I looked up my spell list. Turns out the clean cantrip isn't for clerics like I thought.

So before we went in Korgan used create water and took a splash shower then dried off and put his armor on. this uses up one of his 0 level spells.
(I shall add an old fluffy towel to his equipment)

Commonly, he prays for the following
0 - Create water, Detect Magic, Aid
1 - Bless (x2 with his Wisdom bonus spell)

The domain Spells are
1 - Enlarge Person (iirc)

Looks like you guys have a lot of fun here. I would like to join in, but my only D&D experience is from an old computer game called Baldur's Gate 2. Is there some site or something I can use to quickly teach myself how this works?
My name made sense when I first thought it up.

I apologize in advance for the inevitable awkwardness.

Well I don't know if Narf is willing to cram another into the party, we're getting crowded. However I can suggest you a good online resource.

http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/

It's not really educational, but it has all of the core data for playing the system. Other than that you'd need the character sheet page (that I can't access from work).

Oh well. It is understandable if things are too crowded here. It would probably take me a few hours to research how to make a character and fill out the info throughly anyway.

It seems like the system has changed a lot since I played that game. I do not see a Thac0 stat, and it seems a higher armor class is now favorable.

In brief, AC still defaults to 10, but it's additive rather than subtractive. (that is, something that give armor 4 makes you AC 14 not AC 6)

Attempts to hit are resolved by a d20 roll+ base attack (THAC0 equivalent, but again goes up instead of down and acts as a direct bonus to the roll) +Str (for melee) or Dex (for ranged) bonus +whatever other bonuses you have.

Otherwise, the system really hasn't changed that much. Skills have replaced weapon and non-weapon proficiencies and they've added Feats (an every-few-levels way of customizing the character a bit more). Saves have been simplified a bit, and Strength no longer has that wacky percentile BS.

(I'm an old-school gamer, can you tell?)
