The Warner Brothers' dancing frog is the most likely thing you are trying to recall. The Alien was a parody of that.

I may not ever have seen the frog, which is doubtless why I didn't quite get the alien. I don't know how I missed it, I saw enough WB cartoons when I was a kid. Thanks for the explanation.

Oh, wow... You are missing out on one of the best known cartoons in history! Well, It is around 50 years old, so I guess that is understandable. Anyway, I found it on google for you.

It's funny to me that people don't grow up with those old songs. Our town had a yearly "gay 90s festival" that celebrated the 1890s. So we had a barbershop quartet contest, a parade, and a bunch of stuff that the schools would do like little carnival games in the gym and talent shows. They stopped celebrating it in 1990 due to it not being politically correct. I miss some of those old song and stuff.

I like recognizing them when they pop up though, like with Michigan J Frog and when HAL starts running down in 2001.

My mind is going... I can feel it...

It's a good thing win is a renewable resource, or the old animation studios would have used it all up making cartoons like that.

Some forums have high standards to posting like that, most that I've seen allow all sorts of loose posting. On some you just quote them and write "QFT" if you agree with someone. on other forums you can just quote the person and not type ANYTHING.

You don't have a gigantic sig and your avatar doesn't induce seizures so I think it'll be OK.

There was a time when a group meeting to practice strange rituals then suddenly chanting in tongues with an outsider witnessing would result in accusations of devil worship and witch burnings. Now it is just good fun!
