And here I thought the only thing that could truly strike down a were-geek would be a crit from a silver polyhedral.

+5 to humor for Star Wars reference (original trilogy)

I think a 1 on any dice is enough to make any WereGeek feel pain : P.

Mainly on d20s though...

Oh, how I hate when that happens.
I've had wholeevenings of it. Sometimes I've lost characters that way.

I know what'd be the worst, at the top of the stairs you trip him with spindle dice, and then topple him onto a floor of d4s, all with the 1s facing up. What a horrible fate.

In a Mage/The Window cross I'm playing in, using Invisible Castle to roll the dice...Well, the first time I put in 10-2 and, naturally, got two 8's (fumble). The GM points out that I need more sleep, I reroll using 1d10-2...

...And promptly get two 8's again. I don't think I'm meant to make that roll.

This strip reminded me of Mallrats and Silent Bob trying to use the force.
Oh and i couldn't find a video of the Viva Pinata mating dance so have this instead http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF07ZGLuZkc

My most profound apologies to everyone that clicked that.

okay so...

picture this.

we're playing a dragonlance campaign, where magical armor and weaponry is extremely rare. and through a chain of miraculous events our characters actually have access to real dragonlances. so it's only natural that we'd walk out of this mountain keep to discover three dragons waiting to attack us...right?

this combat scene was stupidly wacky though because it seemed like nobody at the table could roll anything other than one or twenty on their attack rolls. it was really nice rolling the natural 20 needed to score a crit with the dragonlance and pretty much one-shotting a dragon (apparently dragonlances do insane damage to dragons. who knew??). what wasn't really nice was when the only remaining dragon was on its last legs, and both trent and i rolled 1's on our attacks of opportunity as it flew away.

so yeah. that session was totally filled with crits...it's just that some of them were the wrong KIND of crits (damn 1's...*grumbles*)
