Pun-pun has no need to deal damage. He wants you dead, and you die. Its that simple.

Back to the subject at hand, I was waiting for some kind of love triangle to form here, but I'm not sure who I want Mark to end up with. It will, as Narf said, wait until I see how Mark's girlfriend reacts to Mark's penchant for gaming.
OMG, if she actually thought gaming was silly but actually didn't have any problem with it then......ooooh
If she came in for a session down the road and was generally a bad gamer girlfriend. Constantly talking out of game and trying to get Mark's character to defend her... or maybe just getting killed off by Sarah's character...

I don't know, Jess seems all right. I honestly wasn't expecting Sarah to react the way she did, though. I guess everything will clear up when Jess is revealed to be the hunter.
(Cause that's my theory, and I'm stickin' to it.)

I predict that after Jess finds out about the gaming aspect of Mark's relationship with his friends there will be an attempted adjustment period where Jess joins the group and tries to fit in, but things fall apart between Mark and Jess. Then Sarah hooks up with Mark, and Jess, despite being impressed with the way Dustin talks, hooks up with Joel.
Then the Hunter captures Jess and uses her as bait to lure Mark, Joel and the rest into a trap and the comic comes to an abrupt unexpected halt leaving us all on a cliffhanger for months.
Simple Simon met a pieman going to the fair;
Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Let me taste your ware."
Said the pieman to Simple Simon "Show me first your penny."
Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Sir, I have not any!"
Ah, yes. The infamous hiatus, followed by the infamous 'I'm updating again!', followed by one single strip, followed by months/years of inactivity, followed by the webcomic dropping off the internet.
(Burst out laughing.) Oh, you two bring up such a painfully accurate point! I've seen that happen to more than one webcomic I've loved before, and it's never failed to make me upset.
Fortunately, Weregeek seems to be very solid, both in updates and story pacing, so I'm not worried about that happening here. Especially since we know the artist has a backlog of spare strips, yay!
Jess and Joel I could maybe see happening . . . it depends on what happens in the future, of course. I do like Dustman's theory that Jess is the hunter, though -- it's a theory I've played with myself off and on, and it would make for a pretty cool plot twist! The only trouble with that would be that Jess doesn't seem (to me) to be evil in quite that way, and the Hunter doesn't seem the female type. Still, I'm sure our beloved artist could pull it off well, if that's what she has planned. ^_^
