Because every other comic I read updated the day before, on Tuesdays I go trawling through the other comics in my list with less of a set update schedule. Maybe that's the case for some other readers...

Yeah, if the Tuesday thing is a deliberate decision it makes sense for strips that update on a Monday but are sometimes late. But if that was the case you'd think the busiest days would be Thursday and Sunday. Maybe Tuesday is just webcomics day.
