I think Friday 13th' comic updated around 2-3AM, today's (10/21) updated after sunrise (sometime about 8-12AM), and I think one updated at midnight once... then again I don't remember for sure.

Does anyone know when this thing updates? Averageman told me 11 a.m., which doesn't sound right (because I've gotten on my computer before 10 o'clock classes and it's updated) but I found out this (very early) morning that as of 4 a.m. EDT it doesn't update. I should know this, but...I left the auto-update-time field blank on my application, because I was planning to update manually. Well, it STILL auto-updates -- I just don't know when.

I'm guessing sometime around 7 am pacific because I think it had only just updated, just about, when I posted at 10:20 (my (EDT) time)...
(Some mornings I don't actually need to be at work at that time...- with mumble #jobs, of course, one has a schedule a bit like a mountain range... or a fractal- well, neither's a good analogy...)

Oh boy. Now I need to find out how to change my info. Not only do I need to make an update time, I also need to change my address info. I applied for Keenspace before I moved.
(Although with the recent turn of events I have a feeling I was REmoved, if only to save myself from the evil people at the end of the hall.)

Today it refreshed during the 5 am hour pacific time. (I was checking and was awake at the time- again, 8am for me- it was Saturday's comic around 8 am, and Sunday's when I checked back at 8:40 am.)
I was mistaken after all.

I did some checking and what I found seems to indicate the system uses a basic "priority" system. You know, high traffic comics get updated before low traffic. And, most likely you have a even lower priority because you left the update time blank (it fits you in when nothing else needs to be done) This would explain the eratic update time.
Averageman, The keeper of Xellos's special smile.

I now get about 150-200 visits a day (partly because I added my comic to the "newsbox"), and while that number is heavily skewed due to said newsbox (I'm guessing about 50-70 of those visits are actual people), my pageviews (unaffected by newsbox) have skyrocketed to an average of 125 a day. I have 2750 for the month to date. I regularly say "eep" when I check out my stats. It's gone haywire since I added the newsbox -- although even accounting for the quadrupled comic file sizes and the small newsbox image, the amount of data that is accessed has gone through the roof (in relation to the past -- went from 1500 KB per day to 7000 to about 20000 in the space of nine days.)
Unless I'm a complete idiot, I don't think that's too bad for a webcomic not yet into its first month.
Oh, and depending on how much you enjoy British humor, I think you should check out Blotto Street. Although, a lot of it is university humor, too, so I know you should appreciate that.
------------------
