I set my ATM card's number to "0001" because I'm number one!

At least it's unbalanced in a way that makes sense.Germ wrote:I dunno. I always thought that FF6 was unbalanced in favor of Mages rather than Fighters. See also: Terra (well, Esper Terra, but still) doing 9999 with Blizzara.
But I'm still pretty early in the game, so that may have something to do with it.

I would agree with you, but I've played Baldur's Gate II. Although the mage has some crippling weaknesses, every single one can be more that circumvented by a truly formidable array of spells. And after a while, having four PCs die because in order to get at a mage they have to dispel invisibility, dispel invincibility fight through a sword shield, survive a flame shield, and then have time stopped so that the mage puts its shield back and calls down a flaming comet, my sympathy for magic users is non existent.
In one way, its a good simulation of how powerful controlling the forces of the universe is. In another way, its goddamn annoying.
If you want a different explanation, mages are girly-men (Or perhaps girly-women).

Well, this is basically very early in the game.
One day, there will be a follow-up to this comic where Hemlock crashes the Moon into the Earth.
Fourteen times.
In retrospect, I should have made it clear in the comic that this was about mages early in the game, but it completely slipped my mind. Stupid me.

I was amused by Panel 3 A LOT before I saw 6. The way it is, it appears that Hemlock was knocked pretty deep into the ground by a mosquito. It's only when 6 shows up that you realize the mosquito isn't THAT powerful.
