Oh God, not this argument again. It's incarnation on giantitp has already dealt me so much brain damage I can hardly speak. In the end, they're both losers. I mean winners.

Anyway, in the interest of contributing to the topic, if you need another dialog writer, I could see my way to doing some of that, even if it required original work.

I'll see, but keep in mind that your job probably won't be until the end of comic, as we'll be primarily focused on getting the comic's details in.

More good news is that the slower pace makes it easier to catch up. Bad news is that it'll take longer to get the game out.

Oh, and if any fan-art people are interested, we are in desperate need of a title screen. I have one SOMEWHERE, but it's just Frans and the barmaid, and I would prefer one with the PC's.

So, if anyone is interested: Pic of the gang, or some such. Preferably 320 x 240 pixels. Best one gets in!

THE ONLY REASON YOU AREN'T USING IT IS BECAUSE FRANS PWNS YOUR FACE OFF!!!

Um, no. . .

It's because there's only so much sheer awesomeness a game can have.

Man, that explains why FF2j sucked. All the sheer awesomeness was sucked away by FF1.

I don't think Link ever talked. Never played any of that crazy "Wind Waker" stuff, so I could be wrong.

Now Cloud, there was a whiny punk in panty hose.

Took the words out of my mouth. Wasn't there an event where cloud actually wore panty-hose too? I can't remember all the items to the 'dress as a girl' part of the story.

Also, still waiting for a working HOME computer to contribute, how's the game coming along? Are you making sure everyone's different styles don't clash?

I'm only getting constant updates from the musicians at the moment, I'm afraid. Once my life settles back down and I can devote more time to the game, I'll go back around and check on assignments. And I'm looking forward to your being able to help, Sipex.

Good news, I have a computer, anyone have a link to RM2K3? (That's the version we're using right?)

For legal purposes I'm "not going to download it" I'm just going to "look at it."

Also for legal purposes you can email the link to emailandyhenry@gmail.com

Feel free to email any project stuff I'll need to there too, including work assignments.

I'll do it*, but are you after the gang to date, or the entire nameable cast?

* Only if you meant the former.

Edit: Also yeah, RM2K3. No link though, soz.

Sadly, I meant the seven people from the beginning. Maybe w/ Joan in the background. But I understand if you're busy.

Might do it eventually, but they could end up looking horribly wrong.

Algernon and Cykla can go in the background to reduce the chances of complete and utter mistakes showing up as much :P

So um, programming the minigame introduced today will be interesting.

Hey, good job, soundtrack guy. I always approved of the leitmotif approach (developing themes for each character; best known for its use in Peter and the Wolf, Star Wars, and Final Fantasy VI). Really helps characterize characters in games without voice acting.[/i]

WHOO!

Just dropping by to say the soundtrack was pretty cool, very video-game-ish, and I can't wait until the game comes out. :D

I seem to have some free time and this needs to be fixed.

No offense, but this will probably take 3+ years. Prolly six months after Legendary finishes, we'll be ready to release.

Thanks!

Also, as for getting the game out in 3+ years--why can't we just catch up to the comic, release, then release patches every plot arc to update?

Well that'll be good then, none of us will be hard-pressed to develop this thing quickly.

The reason- Right now, we're kinda organizing everything. We haven't payed much attention to game balance, side quests, etc. We would invariably reorder the Items/Skills/Etc, meaning that the players couldn't simply move save files.

I don't want ANYONE to have to sit through that OH SO LONG opening sequence more than ONCE.

Actually, it's not that long, but I don't care.
