Because OotS is the pioneer of all things involving dwarf culture, and Legendary is usually extremely original. :P

Dwarves just aren't dwarves if they're not spouting ridiculous oaths involving ancestors, beards, axes, or some combination of the above. War-hammer or any kind of precious ore may be substituted for axe as needed.

Besides, "Thor's Duodenum!" is still more awesome, even if this one makes me wonder how one has seven beards. And if I were going to point out any OotS similarities here, it'd be between Rhoda and Hilgya, who share a background archetype and are both dwarves. But the similarities end there.

Methinks Rhoda has a problem with impulse control. I mean, she knew know she could have just gone and filed for one, right? And knowing what we know of her, she might not realize she can just break off an engagement. Of course, it's possible that she's culturally unable to, but her just not realizing it would make a decent twist.

Besides the slight similarities in the art...

Ah, sarcasm on an internet forum, how you confuse people. I was joking, really. But it was very Durkonish.

I was getting all excited to see how the Dust Giant (Or was it a Gollom [How do you spell that word?]?) would like a taste of Populist Revolution.

Ah, Thanks. I was going to spell "Gollum", but then I remembered that is the character from Tolkien, not the elemental beings. Golem. Golem. Golem.

A stupid pun.
A stupid Marxism joke.
A jab at diplomacy.
Character humor with Lionel and Antonio.
Formulaic "guy goes into minute detail for an uncaring audience"
"Welcome to [Name of Town]" NPC.

This is obviously the comic of legend foretold by prophecy in the days of yore.

Also, I'm really funny when I'm tired.

Ah, the bad guy's evil cabnet of fiends. And having the former king as the jester was a nice touch.

Hey Legendary, It's me, Ellipses, from over at the ADV AFH CMC ETC. forums. Glad to see you're still going strong at 99 comics. I was thinking, making a thread for each comic would be a bit too much, considering it updates daily, but maybe you should consider making a thread for the week, so that there isn't any confusion about which comic is being discussed.

It might be a bit too early for that, since the userbase is still growing and there aren't too many people as of now, but it's just something to consider.

I'm a fan of the comic, and if there's anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to send me a PM.

I love Baron von Snuggles.

Well, when we first saw him, he was happy and saying "Welcome to Valen!" with this smile. But then Antonio chewed him out, and he just looks sad.

It is entirely his own fault, of course.

The comic: minor exposition'd. It's good to see that half the characters can recognize an obvious trap. Unlike in every other RPG.

The incentive: so...you're doing strip slays of your own work, now?

I just imagined that incentive in Christopher Lee's voice and nearly burst out laughing.

Antonio needs to stop bemoaning the loss of his plan and start helping his teammates--he's wasting time. I mean, by all means, yell at them when it's over, but at the moment, it's time to start the beatdown...

Or at least, it would be if this wasn't a video game with a seperate battle screen. >_>;

Huh. I guess technically then, he can moan as long as he wants about it. But still, just for appearences sake, if nothing else....

Am I the only one that noticed that Vania's shot freed her father or is it so obvious that no one needs to point it out? Because Benedict is kind of an idiot to not see where the arrow went - it could've imploded at an important nexus and thus sucked the universe into a single point.

I actually like the way this (1/24) turned out. There are certainly advantages to doing the standard method of breaking a fight up over several days, but those tend to drag on.
