We don't have a General section, so I'll just make this a topic.
I lost my link to the strip over the weekend, and when I googled to reconnect, I discovered there's a real Camp Alaska out there! Any relation? It's at http://www.campalaska.com

No connection to the strip. I found it on a search a month or two after the comic went online. If you look closely at the comic logo it says Buck & Edna's Camp Alaska. I found a bar/restaurant called Buck & Edna's in Idaho or Montana.

Why, so it is!
I'll bet both the camp gal and the eating establishment would enjoy your strip. The camper lady could put a link to the strip on her site and bill your link as a look at the "competition."
She seems like a nice person. If you like, I can send her a note of appreciation for her efforts at tourism and mention that there's a Buck and Edna's Camp Alaska comic strip. I don't want to cause any actual name-related problems, though, so I won't do it unless you think it'll be okay.

Well, they are Camp Alaska Tours so I don't think there's much of a conflict. I'm certainly not looking to swipe the domain name. Another case of life imitating art concerns Marsha's shop-at-home service, Wonderlife International. There actually is a nutritional supplement/weight loss outfit with the same name. But Marsha's company pre-dates theirs by about ten years.
