Yes. The faces, especially, benefit from that.
Couple of suggestions though---
A lot of times your backgrounds are simplistic or nonexistent. I'd put a little more detail there, make it a little more three-dimensional.
Also, your covers are excellent. You have a strong grasp of color. Of course, I'm a junkie for color---admittedly--and I know, all too well, how it adds time to the process. But I'd consider doing more pages in color, if I were you.---Al
