If you like Shine, you should check this out...

As unrelentingly awesome as And Shine Heaven Now is, its only one thing. So I propose we share some of the other 'Shiney' things we like on the internet! Anything you think your fellow readers might injoy goes here.

To start this off I recomend going and checking out Shadowjack's [In Which I Watch] Sailor Moon http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2133352/shadowjack.html

Its sort of a critical retelling of Sailor Moon. his illustrated recaps are solid gold. Here's the first part of the first recap.

There's other stuff I know of that you might be interessted in but I'm a little shy about this sort of thing. And I can't spel.

Yeah, I've really enjoyed Shadowjack's IWIW threads for Sailor Moon. Normally I can't stand the script style of writing, but his is actually very entertaining. Plus his occasional sketch recaps are made of win and awesome. My favorite thing he's done there though is actually a completely bizarre side thing, "Mister Tsukino Does His Taxes and the Household Budget"

If you want to comment on the rpg.net forum about it though keep in mind that he's doing this blind (meaning he's watching the show for the first time as he does this), so no spoilers please.

I contenue to be very, very sad at the lack of attention paid to my lovingly handcrafted posts. But I had to spread the news.

Lackadaisy, everyone's favorite 1920's speakeasy based comic is here! ...and has been for some time.

But the art is gorgeous. http://www.lackadaisycats.com/index.php

This rec isn't from me, but from Erin herself!

Vampire Game, a manga by Judal
It’s a shoujo manga, about a princess, with a love triangle, including a vampire. There’s also a complicated system of magic, and plenty of political intrigue among the heavily interbred ruling families of the bordering countries, and everyone has their own motives and missions to perform, and the vampire in question is currently incarnated in the body of a kitten. If that isn’t enough to entice you, I don’t know what is.

Because we're all probably fans of the paranormal here, this is a site that'll make your mind work overtime on vamps and zeds. It's like if CSI ran into Hellsing fullspeed.

www.fvza.org
Vampires can be exceedingly charming when they need to be. They will joke, cajole and flatter, and just when you think, "vampires aren't so bad," you've got a pair of fangs buried in your neck.

For those who still insist on treating vampirism as a romantic existence, consider the suicide note left behind by Jacob Drexel, member of a prominent Philadelphia family who was transformed in 1937. After Drexel leaped off the City Hall tower one snowy night, a suicide note was found that closed with the following lines: "I have been living in constant torment over the unspeakable acts I have committed, and yet I am powerless to stop committing them. May God forgive me."

One web comic I think you would like is No Rest For The Wicked (http://www.forthewicked.net/) Its a fairy tale mash up about a princess who hasn't slept since the moon disapeared. So she goes on a journey to find it. With her is the very clever but somewhat cowardly puss in boots and a half crazy ax wielding Red Riding Hood.

Another webcomic that I like but is a bit further off from Shine is Spinnerette. (http://www.krakowstudios.com/spinnerette/index.php) Its an affectionate parody of the superhero genre. the trope page explains it better (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Spinnerette)

The story and the art are fantastic, and it's updated regularly, so you won't have to wait around :D
