Hellsing shout-outs

Random topic here, but I was watching episode 25 of Pani Poni Dash when the opening senquence for some reason has what appears to be a Hellsing shout-out, with "God" going all Alucard-ish on Mesousa for some reason (it's on Funimation's website if you wanna see it). I mean, that show is nothing but random insanity anyway, but I still wasn't expecting that.

So, anybody else got other Hellsing shout-outs they know of?

I haven't seen any other Hellsing shout outs, but I did take a look at that one on YouTube. Creepy multiple eyes popping out of shadows Alucard style FTW.

I need to bookmark that anime to watch later - just the opening sequence had me in tears of laughter at "Don't let go! This is a rented dress!".

Hmm, well I don't think it's a shout out, but Pride from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has a monster form that's similar looking to Alucard's at least. He's more stabby than shooty, but he's certainly got that whole "tons of eyes and toothy mouths from the amorphous shadows" thing going on.

I wonder, does anybody know if that type of thing is an actual trope, or is this just a case of people having a similar idea about what's really, really freaky?

Highschool Of the Dead IS a Hellsing shoutout unto itself. Panty-shots, huge boobs, gun fights, and the manga-ka himself as one of the main students.

BTW, that's an anime now. Go watch it.
