But Seras has boobs and is a total woobie, sorta like Empowered. That's win right there.
Finally, I remember to do a signature! Oh the wonder! Oh the happiness! ... I don't even have a snappy remark to make.

D: I am in DESPAIR! The lack of a snappy remark for my signature has left me in despair!

Ooh I got it!

Pip's so cute in today's strip-- like he's being asked by his mom if there are any girls in his class that he likes. :shucks:
Gundam Wing has hot guys, kick-ass women and mechs. Hellsing has hot guys, kick-ass women and guns. ^_^ Ah, the joys of anime.

"He" isn't. "She" is! Remember, this isn't just some fever dream Pip is having. That really is Scarlet, the actual Incarnation of War. If it happened during, because of, or if it caused a war, she saw it.

Looks to me like a 'Breath-Right' strip on Pip's nose.

but coyote-pip is blonde! VERY blonde! and grampy has dark hair, and HS-pip is strawberry... so there's a lot of wackiness in that gene pool over the generations.

and there's more than 2 chars in it, coyote is 4 books long. it also has major's prototype, Montana Max, and a nazi orgy, during which he informs people that his mom was a prostitute. there's also pip's mercenary buddies and the one's agent wife, and pip goes all superhero porn star and saves the girl from the nazis at the end, and they live happily ever after... for five minutes before he's off on a boat headed for his next money-seeking adventure.

sorry for rambling, i collect hirano's other comics, i have almost all his hentais except for 2 pages missing from one of the magic school ones with the dude that looks like fr. renaldo in it. i even have his evangelion doujin, which is really hard to read... two words... Pimp Gendo. :eyebrow:

not the actual hard-copies mind you, i'm a collector, not a RICH collector. last copy of coyote i saw on ebay was topping out at $130. i would LOVE having a hard-copy of any one of them, especially coyote's books though, even if just to take to a con for hirano to sign someday just to see the look on his face.

... my yomiko is showing again, isn't it? (hides giant pile of books under the bed, whistling innocently.)

That's all in the same volume, at least in the scans I have. Ten chapters, one table of contents, so one book.

Coyote!Pip's hair looks orange in the frontispiece, which is the only colored picture of him. In the Shineverse, his hair goes grey by the time he's taking care of little!Pip, but it was definitely orange when he was younger.

the color might have been off in my copy's scans. *shrug* when i found it, it was in four small doujin-sized vloumes, each with their own front. the first had the color of pip, the second was him and the girl, the third and fourth were max and his crew, and the merc buddies, i forget which was 3rd and 4th, but there were colored pages with the title and hirano's name on them for each.

i'd have to dig out the disks to be sure, i just backed up and moved all my manga and other important stuff off the compy before moving because i was sending it in to get fixed, and the last thing the tech dude needs to see is 40 gigs of bootleg manga and anime, sims skins, and gag pictures of my cat lost in the bookpile.

(yes, that's not just a bad ROD joke, i seriously had a bookpile before moving. now i have 11 large boxes all sorted by genre and author, and five more unsorted all sitting in storage until i make room for them. the other librarians keep teasing me i've got more books than our branch. :shucks: )

eh, either way, it dosen't matter much how it came out, just that it exists, and i'm never afraid of being proven wrong, so i might have to go double-check later.

There are only 2 characters who are the Yumie and Yumiko prototypes. Natalie is the Yumiko one. That's what I meant.

The Yumie prototype (in my copy, her name is translated as Ermail - any ideas what that might refer to?) never sleeps with Grandpa Pip, though. So I'm still not sure how you get the idea that Yumie/ko and Pip could be related.

Weeelll, Natalie has green eyes, Grandpa Pip has blue eyes... and Pip has green eyes, and Yumiko has blue eyes. I mean, there are other ways that could occur, but it seems a bit of an odd coincedence.

Anyway, Yumiko and Pip being cousins is now a part of my personal canon. AND NO AMOUNT OF LOGIC CAN CHANGE THAT

GAH, EVANGELION'S THEME SONG GOES TOO FAST, I CAN'T TYPE OUT THE LYRICS AS I LISTEN

If they were, say, "gold eyes flecked with purple" or some other esoteric color (and remember, we're using anime standards of esoteric), then I can see this making sense. But how many blue-eyed people are there in the world? In Hellsing alone, we have Seras, Integra, and Walter - does that mean they're all related?

Natalie's eye color isn't even specified in Coyote - that's just a part of Shine canon. And Yumiko's eyes are black (well, dark brown) in Shine canon. I'm pretty sure they're not blue in Hellsing proper, either.

It's been a while since I read Coyote. Also, she lived past the ending, right? So it could've happened off screen.

Here's an even more fun theory: Pip's grandpa slept with so many women in WW2 that most of continental Europe has his genes. The Wild Geese are all Pip's distant cousins. Even the token minority one.

Well if the story is the same as Coyote, she REALLY is.

If you back enough everyone in the world is related, only difference is how much. Royalty at least has the advantage to know with who they share their family tree, for example Queen Elizabeth and Dracula are related.
