...late response, I know, but I should mention that I am totally checking out this series now.

Later post, and the anime recently finished it's run PLUS it's fully subbed, so you'll have a lot easier time watching it all than those of us who tried to keep up with Mayu-Genjo not subbing it when the best episode ever came out. It might also interest you to know that Nancy's working as Jail Scaglietti's assistant in Akikan, the show about juice cans turning into girls.

Now, as for the newest strip: HAHA, WOW, IT'S FUN TO KNOW HOW COMPLETELY BACKWARDS THEY HAVE THINGS.

Irony duly noted. Maybe that's why she takes care of Penwood's kid (or was it grandkid?), out of guilt for suspecting him in the first place.

Either that, or out of obligation after the way Sir Penwood sacrificed himself during Millennium's attack.

-just read the new strip-

Who's Ann? What's in Chicago?

Wait-a-second, does this have anything to do with Gunsmith Cats? That's the only anime I know that's set in Chicago. My gosh, so many crossovers.
Finally, I remember to do a signature! Oh the wonder! Oh the happiness! ... I don't even have a snappy remark to make.

D: I am in DESPAIR! The lack of a snappy remark for my signature has left me in despair!

Ooh I got it!

If you know where to look, you can work this out already.

I looked around in the Gunsmith Cats page on Wikipedia and found not one character named Ann. Then I looked on Animated Lust (not a porn site, guys), and got nothing again.

Can I get something for my effort?

Is it a Chrono Crusade reference? Isn't there a Sister Ann in Chicago? (The demon-hunters in Chrono Crusade deal with blessed weaponry, so...)

I think Chrono Crusade was set in the 1920's. This would be about 70 years after that.

Dammit. It's barely possible-Sister Ann was fairly young, if I recall, she could still be running the place...but unlikely...

Guessed that already. She's not it. Nor is Sister Anna from Chrono Crusade.

I'm thinking it's very very VERY unlikely....Ann Rice... but methinks she's in california now....and that the hellsing cast wouldn't like her that much.

Thanks for all the kind words Lads and Ladies.

Sadly, there is one detail that is gonna suck a bit...

My wife is extremely Camera shy to the point where you'd think she is a bit paranoid about that stuff.
So I highly doubt that she would let me post a picture of the baby when its born. I sure as heck know that a picture of her is out of the question.

Anyway, I cant wait to see what happens next in Shine.

That's what I was thinking too, but I don't remember anyone in Gunsmith Cats named 'Ann'

i don't think it has something to do with anime or manga, or Xuanwu would have found it.
it must be something else.
i had thought to Ann Rice, but she doesn't have anything to do with Chicago (for what i know)

It's not necessarily anime/manga. Remember, Shine's also crossed over with Madeline and Scooby Doo.

I ain't got a clue though.

Hm. So Integra may have to rely on Alucard... Do you think he has enough self-control not to kill this "Ann" person on sight? What Integra said seems to imply that either he'll try to kill her, or "Ann" will try to kill Alucard, who will stand by and chuckle as he dodges every bullet (or lets them hit him, just for fun).
