Yes indeedy. XP Now, how dangerous is the scroll anyways? Aziraphale knows Donnie, and didn't make him forget about the scroll. So he must have assumed Donnie wouldn't try to steal the scroll because of his love for books (which was just disproved - he doesn't have to harm the books to get what he wants). I can't tell whether or not he knows about Donnie's involvement with the British Library - he knows about his powers, but then if he knows about the British Library, he knows that they want the scroll and that they don't want any trouble. True, he wasn't counting on them enlisting the help of a vampire, but that's not important. People either want books from the British Library because they are valuable or powerful. Aziraphale is an Angel (sort of), so he can't possibly care about money and value. The only reason Aziraphale could want to keep the scroll away from them is because it has immense power. So, what is that power? I bet we're about to find out - it can't end this easily.

if i remember correctly, the ripley scroll itself is kind of a long, rambling, purposley-confusing set of instructions for making the elemental stones, the source of the philosopher's stone/elixir of life.

it's also the source of the "bird of hermes" quote.

I've been gone for a few days, and upon my joyful reunion with the Internet, I have to make a few comments to catch up here:

1. DONNIE!!! OMG YAYZ!!! I LOVE YOU!!!1 ..Now all we need is for Ridley Wan to show up...*still can't believe she found slash in R.O.D.*

2. Beautiful artwork on the Sunday Special, as usual.

3. *Cuddles Aziraphale for basically all of the three common misconceptions*

4. If I was wearing a hat, I would tip it to you, Erin. I have been reading this comic for over three years, and you have never failed to amaze me with your ability to make me laugh, cry, jump into new fandoms headfirst on nothing but a recommendation, and basically make my life that much better. Happy New Year, and to many (or at least a few) more!

"Thou hast undone our mother!"
"Villain, I have done thy mother!"

Oh my god, paper has feelings?! I'm sorry tissues and tissue box! D: -pets a tissue- You're getting all icky because I had to catch a cold!

Okay, enough with messing around. Happy New Year and nice comic.
Finally, I remember to do a signature! Oh the wonder! Oh the happiness! ... I don't even have a snappy remark to make.

D: I am in DESPAIR! The lack of a snappy remark for my signature has left me in despair!

Ooh I got it!

I don't know about you Mars, but I'd feel more sorry for my toilet paper than my tissue paper. Er... in either case I'm sure they don't really mind that much. I mean, they are fulfilling their purpose, right?

Yeah, and living out someone's fetish (Rule 36). Luckily the paper can't make noise, otherwise we'd feel guilty and/or squicked out of our minds.

Thank you Erin, for the paranoia fuel. XD now Chaos and I'll have paper issues for a good while. If everyone believed it, would there be more recycling?

I actually went out and saw Good Omens in the same bookshop I usually frequent, so I bought it (along with some Lovecraft, Poe and Warhammer 40k)
Haven't read it yet though. :/

... How is Alucard the bird of Hermes exactly? I'm confused (granted, as a lazy Hellsing fan, its probably in one of the volumes I haven't read.)

I'm not sure if anyone posted this, but I found an interesting site regarding the Ripley Scroll.

Pip, Seras, I don't see how you were surprised, it's INTEGRA. And yes, the only way this would be more awesome is Integra talking back to a god.

And in semi-unrelated news...EEE ELEVENTH DOCTOR.

Back to Shine.

Hahah, Integra mouthing off to the Flying Spagetti Monster. That should happen.

I'm not normally an integra fanboy but I'd pay good money to see Integra mouth off to Thor. Because the worst case scenario would be beyond epic awesome. Alucard vs Thor!

An important part of every Hellsing member's experience is realizing that no matter what they do, no matter how hard they work at it, they will never be quite as badass as their boss.

Anyway, I love Seras' dropped jaw there. Still, I'm wondering what Integra's point was in that story. That as Yomiko was ever nuttier about books than Donnie, a man who stood up to an angel for a scroll saying it wanted to go home, there is no way she would ever torch the library without a VERY good reason?

Makes sense to me. ^_^ But I'm betting a bit more of the story still has to come into play (for example, what the British Library's leader is really all about).

Hee hee, for a second I thought Seras had a cigar in her mouth.

Adorable!?! That's just plain SICK!!! Aziraphale, an angel... and Crowley... the serpent that tempted Eve!?!

:-?

Well... I guess that was just something platonic. Aziraphale probably just said that as a figure of speech.

(thinking further)

I've been studying the storyline so far. I would venture to saying that Yomiko, before torching the British Library, might have salvaged several volumes she felt were worthing of saving... and one of them was the Ripley Scroll. Further speculation would suggest that she asked Walter to request of Integra to take the scroll to Aziraphale... being that he was the best guardian for such an important document. :D
