Hellsing Mansion's Maid-en Voyage

Post by Xuanwu »

(Title was the worst pun I could think of. "Maid in England" came to mind, too.)

Yay, girls with glasses! Every maid should wear glasses. Otherwise they don't look like maids. (The same applies to teachers, librarians, knights, ninjas, special agents, and...um...well...every female character? Yeah...)

Not sure I understand the byline for today's comic: "No, the Hellsing mansion's maids are not really ninja defenders. (Sorry, Xuanwu.)" I'm happy with regular maids in glasses. Is the ninja defender bit a reference to an idea I pitched but have since forgotten? Just wondering.

SECONDED

It is possible to have too much of a good thing. While lethal cleaning staff is always a plus, they already have Walter, and any more than him would just be silly. She is an awfully cute maid though...

I know from experience that I can watch an anime where all the girls wear glasses (G-On Riders) and not get tired of it. So, in terms of megane-kos, I don't think you can have too many.

I think she's based somewhat on Emma. A descendant?

Would it not be interesting if, in Shine's strange little universe, Seras was a descendant of Emma?

For those working at Hellsing and wearing glasses there is that old saying: "You cannot hit a person wearing glasses."

So I have a new theory...

There are so many people with glasses and blonde hair in the Hellsing Universe. It must be caused by something. I bet it's caused by Vampire Radiation. It weakens people's eyes, and bleaches their hair.

I'm sure you've mentioned an approval of ninja megane-ko maids at some point...

I wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be literally true.

And yes, I'm sure many of you have seen today's maid before :)

Alright, its driving me crazy. I am now going to search through every Shine storyline until I find her.

...oh, and glasses and blonde hair are nifty. While I'm quite proud of my 20/15 vision, I totally think every anime character should wear glasses at least once in their drawn lives. Vampire radiation is an interesting concept, though.

Megane-ko for everyone!

(I'm not, however, a big fan of blond hair. I much prefer black and red. This is one reason why I like Yomiko Readman more than Integra.)

Noooo! What a horrible reason to like Integra less! Integra is the most amazing, fantastic, intelligent----Um, you know, I'll stop, lest I bore you with an Integra rant....

But I happen to like blonde hair. I've started liking it even more since I found Hellsing, though

I said "one reason." Other reasons include: Yomiko likes books more than Integra, Yomiko has a greater tendency to cuteness, Yomiko strikes me as being more cuddly, and Yomiko has more hoopy powers (Integra has awesome sword skills, but Yomiko's paper abilities trump that for coolness).

*sigh* And most of those reasons are why I admire Integra all the more...Except for the books thing. Someone should teach Integra that there are more books in the world besides Dracula.

I dunno about paper trumping the sword skills. I think thats definitely debatable. Oh, and I have no life, so thats why I keep replying right away.

Uhm... hmm. After seeing today's strip I was imeadiately reminded of Kaoru Mori, but I can't quite put my finger on it (maybe a descendant of Emma like everyone else guessed).

Look, Xuanwu, there's reason to hold out for Integra! I managed to *cough-obtain-cough* this, erm... conclusive evidence, ah... thing.

Somewhat conclusive evidence.

It's a scantilation, of sorts, (which I don't really approve of) so if anyone complains, I'll take it down.

For some reason, I can see this strip work well with the Chibi Hellsing Moment after the Valentine Brothers attacked.

It would be interesting to see Integra in a maid's outfit.

There you go, offering ideas for dear Erin...But I can think of at least two people who would enjoy that immensely...

That is wonderfully amazing. Is it ok with you if I save it and use it elsewhere? (perhaps on myspace?) No doubt only Shine fans would ever get it...
