age: 22
been reading: about two weeks
About self:I'm a cronic bad speller and suspect I'm slightly dislexic. Lefthanded and short. I enjoy space operas, fantacy, and marvel superheros. Things I don't understand are Clamp, Naruto's populartity and when Gundam Wing became a emo yaoi show. I believe that most networks have a vendeta against cartoons that are not crack and Sgt. Frog is a sceme to get younger kids hoked on Gundam.

Name: Call me Felis, please
Age: 27
Loc: Altamonte Springs, Fl
Fav Character: Alucard, then Integra
Fav Shine storyplot: Yes.

Hey, Miss Erin: if I remember right, at one point you had said that Abraham Van Helsing was Integra's grandfather, so -if- they didn't mess up the continuity with the Van Helsing movie; could Gabriel either be a brother to Abraham (it's been a while since I read Dracula) or other relation?

Yep, that would be Integra's canonical grandfather on her father's side.

The main reason that movie named the main character "Gabriel" is because somebody still owns the copyright to the name "Abraham Van Helsing". It was supposed to be the same character otherwise. However, given that he was working with a secret Catholic organization (never named, but we can read between the lines, right?), I would say that the movie continuity is completely whacked with respect to Hellsing. (Not to mention Dracula itself.)

...Forgive me for ranting; I just deeply disliked that movie ^_^;

Hi all! Nice to meet you!

Name: Andrew
Age: 24
Reading since: Uhhh... 3-4 years ago, I think. But my reading keeps going on hiatus due to school and things like that. However, caught up as of right now. ^^;;;;;;
About self: About to graduate law school from the University of Oklahoma. Have been into anime since my first show back on cartoon network (Back on oldschool toonami! *wistful sigh*). I love me some doctor who, as well.
Fav. Character: tossup between Alucard and Pip.
Fav. Shine storyline: Island time for the super-secret organization bosses. (that's not the real story name at all!) Or the Doctor Who crossover. More of that, please! (maybe with ten, or eleven!)

And cracky thought of the night: Has anyone else ever noticed how alike Pip and Jean Havoc from FMA are? Both are military men, both like women with big boobs, both get rampantly abused for slapstick comedy, both have an austere woman superior (though Hawkeye isn't Jean's direct superior, maybe she compares more to Seras than Integra?) This thought brought to you by 2am and lots of soda.

Ah, well, I guess I might as well introduce myself here.

Name: Elizabeth (call me Liz)
Age: 26
Location: San Juan, TX (that's right along side the U.S.-Mexico border on the very tip of Texas)
Favorite Hellsing character: Alucard but Integra comes in a close second.
Favorite Storyline so far: Hmm...this one's actually tough since there's a lot of good ones.
Other info: I'm a college student who's majoring in Mexican-American Heritage (it's a category of history. In some places, it's known as Latin American Studies). Erm, I hope to get a PhD some day. ^^

I've been reading ASHN for a few years now. Can't remember the exact year I started reading it.

Name: Karen (though Kitsune or Kit is preferred).
Age: 18
Location: Mississippi
Favorite Hellsing Character: I honestly can't decide between Integra and Alucard.
Reader Since: Dunno... I started reading the Sailor Hellsing comic before Shine, though. Less than a year for sure.
Favorite Storyline: Hmmm... time travel was interesting.
Other: I'm an avid player of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, I have a slight music obsession, I write insane amounts of fanfiction (mostly Hellsing), I'm a freshman in college (my major being Art Education), I have an evil calico cat and an amazing boyfriend of 2+ years, I'm mostly antisocial, and despite my major being Art Education I can not, for the life of me, draw anything remotely decent.

Whee!

It's been so long. I guess you could call this a REintroduction?

Name: Deanne
Age:20
Location:Greater Toronto Area.....in Canada

I'm back after being gone for sooo long. I still kept on reading Shine but I've had sooo much going on. Mom was sick, I kept getting sick, college, work, puppy...I just couldn't get on the forums D:

I failed two of my courses. I kept skipping classes to either take care of mom or I was too sick to go. NOW the college teacher's union might be going on strike so I can't retake them until the summer...and maybe not even then :shifty:

Sorry I've been gone for so long

I do believe you have what the kids these days call "a good excuse."

Hello, all! I'm Zack Condon, of a smallish city west of Washington DC. I really love ASHN, the way it takes the original work and lightens it without abandoning the core of the characters.

i have lots of ideas.

Flyboy254, repoting for posting on "Shine Heaven Now" forums!

Location: Eastern Seaboard, US
Favorite Character: Capt. Pip Bernadotte
Interests: Writing, Science-Fiction and Urban Fantasy
Problems: Handwaves, Wizards doing it (Get your mind out of the gutter!), and bad grammar and spelling

Questions, comments?
Vampires can be exceedingly charming when they need to be. They will joke, cajole and flatter, and just when you think, "vampires aren't so bad," you've got a pair of fangs buried in your neck.

For those who still insist on treating vampirism as a romantic existence, consider the suicide note left behind by Jacob Drexel, member of a prominent Philadelphia family who was transformed in 1937. After Drexel leaped off the City Hall tower one snowy night, a suicide note was found that closed with the following lines: "I have been living in constant torment over the unspeakable acts I have committed, and yet I am powerless to stop committing them. May God forgive me."

Name: Liv
Age:19, going on twenty
Location: Arkabutla
Fave Hellsing character: Seras, she's pretty cool, and she has big weapons!
Been reading since: last November. Took me about a week to read through the archives.
Fave Story: anything with Pip and Seras in it. Oh, and the chordewa storyline.
Other info: well, I plan on being a voice actress, and I have this little idea for a show called Professor Eek. I'm still working out plot, but I have the main three heroes of the show figured out. The main character is Olivia Bell, a blond, well endowed, snarky 23 year old woman who had just lost her job after dumping the boss's son. After being rescued by the title character, she ends up working as his assistant/ blood snack/ carrier of the demon exterminator. Also, she's got this genetic curse where once a month she's stuck with the ears and tail of a rabbit for a week, the cause of the curse? Let's just say her ancestor, Alice didn't moe it out of wonderland completely unscathed. She also likes eating Rocky Mountain Oysters, though her boss is disgusted by it.
Then there's her boss, Professor Eek. He a vampire and a chivalrous pervert, running a marriage counseling office by day and a demon hunting business at night, when he saved his "little rabbit" Olivia, she accidentally found out he was a vampire and ran for her home. The professor then offered her a job as his assistant and made her sign a contract saying that she must not only work his assistant in his office, but she must also let him take her blood when he wants it, and where a revealing leather outfit when they hunt demons. He also has a strict hatred for miss bell's ex boyfriend's family, but he won't say what it is.
Finally, there's Coller, the professor's butler. His job is to offer advice to Eek and keep the weapons in working condition. Just do not piss him off, or threaten his family to his face, other wise the poor schmuck who does may end up dead with a knife in their head.
