Isn't all that moot because he's a vampire?

I also miss read the rescue part thinking that Hellsing was going to make him convert to being Protestant.

Now that's an interesting hypothetical. Unfortunately though I know little about Eastern Orthodoxy, so I have little input to give here.

I'm liking Captain's comment about girls in red.
Gundam Wing has hot guys, kick-ass women and mechs. Hellsing has hot guys, kick-ass women and guns. ^_^ Ah, the joys of anime.

YES! The silver fillings bite back, you Nazi bitch!
Vampires can be exceedingly charming when they need to be. They will joke, cajole and flatter, and just when you think, "vampires aren't so bad," you've got a pair of fangs buried in your neck.

For those who still insist on treating vampirism as a romantic existence, consider the suicide note left behind by Jacob Drexel, member of a prominent Philadelphia family who was transformed in 1937. After Drexel leaped off the City Hall tower one snowy night, a suicide note was found that closed with the following lines: "I have been living in constant torment over the unspeakable acts I have committed, and yet I am powerless to stop committing them. May God forgive me."

Well, I would've called him some other words, but those would make even a sailor blush.

Actually, our resident drone flyer called him a "Female Dog". ...which is equally incorrect.

Too bad Seras is too nice to draw this out. It would have been a nicely Ironic "Kick the Son of a Bitch" moment. ...and, yes, that IS an actual Trope. Look it up.

Also, The Colbert Report did a "Shout Out" to the MLP:FiM "Brony" community. Make of it what you will:

Guess that explains why the boodle was holy - a lot of it came from a whole group of martyrs - about 6 million of them.

This idea of Holocaust spoils being sacred relics rang very true to me, even if the victims weren't strictly martyrs, being killing for their race rather than their religion. Jews killed or forced into suicide by the Crusaders and Spanish Inquisition for refusing to convert to Christianity would definately be martyrs.

Given the innocence and unique suffering of Holocaust victims, though (not to mention their very saint-like veneration in Holocaust Memorials since 1945), I'd say their remains would definately be imbued with a holiness more human than religious, including Gypsys, homosexuals and others groups persecuted by the Nazis.
