Seras has plot armor, so she won't die. But, yeah, this is going to hurt. There's no way she can catch Rippy's bullet like Alucard since she lacks the strength. She'll have to suck Pip dry before being able to manifest her shadow arm (which could, in theory, shield her). She might be able to try the "spray and pray" method of gun use and see if she can separate Rippy from her musket. She's probably physically stronger than Rip up close, so melee combat would be best for her.

I wonder if Rippy's objective is to kill them or to grab something from Warbucks. If it's to steal something, then Seras may survive be Rippy simply pulling back after immobilizing her. Since it's unlikely Rippy is going to die in this encounter, that would be the most likely goal behind this.

I'm guessing bullet cancellation, which might be enough to get Rip to back off. I think Seras might have a faster time reloading, too. At least it's easier for Rippy to dodge Seras's projectiles - they don't home in.

Another possibility we haven't considered: Doc can make Ijin. So he can probably clone people. This could be a trial run for these two via clones to see how they stack up.

Read the weapon info- Seras is holding a rail gun. The actual projectile is small, the white cone you see is the sonic boom. Even if it doesn't hit directly, can Rip's bullet (and/or Rip) withstand that shock wave?

There's no hand-held version IRL, but the U.S. navy is designing rail guns to replace the main guns on battleships just so you know what kind of power we're talking about. All in all a great little science vs. magic contest- I eagerly await the outcome!

Given that Rip's bullets are shown shooting down supersonic missiles in mid-flight, the answer is very yes. Her bullets move at speed X, where X is "faster than anything they encounter."

True but Rip's target is Seras, not her shot (assuming rip wasn't aiming at some other plot-convenient item on the roof). Could it get knocked off course just enough to hit the side of the building or cause a dramatic but non-lethal wound/graze on Seras?

Here's a thought: if Integra gave Dandy The Glare, he'd run away screaming. If she did it to Rippy, I bet Rip would blush. It'd be a great excuse for her to do a "heel-face turn."

Also, I just remembered why Rip and Dandy will have plot armor for this: there hasn't been a Millennium fangirl story yet. They can't die (esp. given Rip's status as the 4th most popular character in the whole comic) until then. Wounded, of course, is an option.

And also, I'm guessing this is part of the reason Alucard wasn't allowed with them. It would have messed up the storyline.
