Herr Doktor-

translated to german thanks is Danke, but Danke is singular (which also could be used to end a letter to the doc), getting Danke into plural is a little bit tricky since it get's no plural -s, vielen Dank (lots of thanks, which is also a good way to end the letter) or tausend Dank (thousand thanks, which i wouldn't use as letter-ending because Danke or vielen Dank sounds better to me) are some very common plural forms
but you got potatoehead right^^

I'm sure I've seen Dankes used before, though o_O
Thanks for correcting me, my German isn't the best.

Re: What's Up Doc? Question Thread
well, there is: des Dankes, the genitive case as used in "Ich war des Dankes voll." (I was full of thanks.) but i can't remeber any occasion in which "des Dankes" was used...shadowfax272 wrote:I'm sure I've seen Dankes used before, though o_O
Re: What's Up Doc? Question Thread
This might be totally irrelevant, but I'd suggest mfg - mit freundlichen Grüßen- as a letter ending xD

Re: What's Up Doc? Question Thread
That's of course also a good way to end a letter^^ i also first thought of ending my question to the doc with it, but when you're living in austria or germany it's always brings a bit of a bad feeling if you end a letter to a former nazi doctor with freundlichen (friendly) Grüßen

Dear Doc,
What is your Opinion on the Character 'Komui' from D.Gray-man. Do you Believe him to be a true 'Mad Scientist', or is he just failing to follow in your footsteps?

Re: What's Up Doc? Question Thread
Dear Mister Doctor, do you ever get tired of people calling you Mister Doctor? Seems a little redundant to me.
Warren Ellis: I figure that the more of you there are around me, the more chance there is of the inevitable hail of bullets hitting you instead of me.
Dr. Kelso: In order to save us some time, I shall be calling all the males "Daves" and all the females "Debbies".
Debbie: Debbie is actually my name!
Dr. Kelso: Then in fairness to the others, you will be "Slagathor".

Re: What's Up Doc? Question Thread
Dear Doctor,
I brought my families pets to the vet yesterday and It got me wondering. If Schro or Captain get sick what do you do? Do you bring them to a doctor, to a vet, or do you personally toss them onto your operating table?
Thanks,
AtticusBlackwolf

Dear Doc,
I've been wondering for a while: Just what are you? Are you a cyborg like the Major? I mean, you still look the same as you did 50 years ago when Walter and Alucard attacked. So....what are you?

(Seriously, is Hirano-san planning on revealing why Doc still looks the same also? I wanna know....

Herr Doktor:
I was wondering... since Nazi Germany valued perfection in every aspect of daily life, then why, with your extra digits, were spared rather than killed?
Also - how the hell do you deal with that snarky catboy you created?

Liebe Herr Doktor,
Why does Rip have a man-harem? You, Alhambra, Alucard (sorta-ish, I understand his attraction) all have some weird-ass attraction to her. Are there no other women in Millenium besides Rip and Zorin?

Finally, I remember to do a signature! Oh the wonder! Oh the happiness! ... I don't even have a snappy remark to make.
I am in DESPAIR! The lack of a snappy remark for my signature has left me in despair!

Re: What's Up Doc? Question Thread
Dear Doctor,
I am a casual observer to your universe and thought that this unique, almost Deadpool like opportunity to remove the fourth wall between us could bring an answer to a question I have long been pondering over. My question is about your good friend the Major. As you know, as a mere onlooker I am not bound quite as much as those in your own realm to time. As such, I have observed scenes that had no witnesses. When the Major was injured there appeared to be an opportunity for him to become vampiric much in the same manner as Alucard did, or perhaps it was Alucard drawing in souls to himself. Either way, it doesn't change the question, though I believe that it was an opportunity to become a vampire. Socialism is very collectivist, it's one of its key values. The Major, however, expressed very strong individualist views when he vehemently denied vampirism. This seems at odds with what seems to be a dream of socialism, the merging of many. Is he truly socialist? I suppose a shortening of my question, without all that build up, could be posed thus: Is the major a true Nazi, with his individualistic tendencies?
I apologize for the rather long and boring lead up to the main question. Perhaps, for the sake of humor, the shortened and to the point version of my question would be more appropriate.
Sincerely,
Winged Knight, a Casual Observer

Re: What's Up Doc? Question Thread
A question for the questionably sane doctor: Are you related at all to Flake Lorenz of the German band Rammstein? I ask because you both tend to dress very similar, have a fascination for strange eyewear and you both have the nickname Dok. Perhaps a cloning experiment you conducted in the past? (Sadly I cannot find any good close-ups of Flake with his goggles/mad scientist outfit on.. and I don't know if pictures are even allowed... >.>") Oh, and if you're ever looking for a Dok fangirl I absolutely LOVE teh Doktor! ^^
