Comic Revisons Ideas?

Hey everyone. As you may know, I've been slowly remaking old comics to make Hazard's Wake a little more readable for new members. I've only gotten 4 done so far, and I was wondering if instead of trying to remake each comic, one at a time, from the beginning, if I should instead just remake particularly bad ones first and not worry about remaking everything in a set order.

What do you all think? Good idea, bad idea?

Artists may be appalled at their old art, but we webcomic readers generally aren't. We tend to judge a comic by it's new pages, and we're amazingly tolerant of bad art in early pages. So I think you needn't bother with redrawing old pages. A good new page and a bad old one is better than just a redrawn old one. (And the visible improvement is encouraging to new artists - think of how many comics have been inspired by CRFH!)

Although it might be worthwhile to redraw pages that are particularly hard to follow, e.g. #157, with three unmarked scene changes. That one confused me when I first read it.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I think you're right. Countless many webcomics have great new art and crappy old art.

But, I think that at least I should redo the really bad ones, like the one you linked, which has gotten a few complaints. And there are a choice few others that I think I'll do, just because I want to.

But ultimately, I think I don't have to go through the archive and redo the first 100 comics, which was kinda a lofty goal I had ^^;;

Instead, maybe once every couple of months I'll pick one in need of correction and redo it. Here are a few I think particularly need it:

And at least webcomics have the OPTION of redoing old shame; with print comics, it's there to see FOREVER!!!

Unless you get hold of all the printed copies and have a bonfire, and even then, someone's going to hang onto a precious near-mint copy just for the collector's factor.

Though my main cause for redoing is for new readers to have an easier time rather than erasing old shame.

...Because, you know, you can still see the old ones by clicking a link at the bottom of the redone pages
